Home made track
This probably is not the most usual topic, but here goes.
Due to a lot of travelling with work and spending time with the kids, I did not get enough tracktime with my buggys. Lucky for me me parents wanted to help and my father started to build a track in their "backyard".(2.minute to drive from my house) The surface is grass and is rather bumpy, but good for training. I`m working with differents layouts and will post diffrent videos of the track. What do you guys think. (sorry about the bad quality) heres video from first layout: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RLs2R50Bdw |
this is the same layout, but with my home made TRF201.( combination of 501 and RB5)

Some pictures of the new layout before rain started pooring down. I`ve relocated the crossover and put on a downslope like Griff recomended. I think the track has better flow and rythem with these changes. Sorry about the bad quality of pics were taken with my old mobile |

Heres videos of todays testing in wet conditions.
It was very slippery, the rain was pooring down and my converted 501/201x struggled to get rear grip, so i had to take it very slow. I really like the layout now and think i will leave it like this for a while. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1TCVKh60sc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSf24GzjF8w |

Hi guys
been working on the track these last couple of days. its now bigger and has 2 new big jumps wich is for jumping across the track. Im working on a "bridge solution" between these jumps to make it a littlebit more safe. Also got enough soil/dirt to make a triple combination or a 2+2 combination, but dont know where to place it yet. I want the track to work in both directions to get some variasions when i`m training. It was -2 degreese when filming and a lot of frost in the grass, and the grass was high so it didnt go very fast, but you get the general idea of how its going to be. Cheers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hqxRqSD2VA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xO4cINw0Lzo |
Looks really good, Hmm gives me ideas ( dangerous ha ha ).
Col. |
looks nice!!!
iŽd do the tripple or 2+2 on the way to the hairpin. on the side which is near you. because you could get in trouble after the cross jump. |
