Who has a job they genuinely love and what do you do?:)

I really like mine most of the time. I deliver pharmaceuticals to various places, hospitals, docs, pharmacy's, air/army bases, schools, nursing homes, private homes, tv studios, vets and a few more i can't remember.

yep. I do. get to help strangers out all day every day, always somewhere different and each day is never the same as the last.
and only have to work 4 days a week. and get paid enough. dont have a boss breathing down my neck all day. lovely.:cool:
i work for the AA

I am a full time dad on my own to five kids, and this is the most rewarding job I have ever done.

thats good to hear...i work with young people whose families (if they are there at all) couldn't give two hoots about them...:(

the kids tend turn out to be complete generator thieving gits in the long run too!

I love mine i am a Finance Broker and i am my own boss!!! ;)

Im in, Im an electronic engineer and repair motor controls in factories but mainly fairground rides, Spent most of last week testing the new roller coaster at Camelot.

And father of 2 so nights and weekends with my little girls is a bonus. :cool:

Is that part of the training?

I think that sounds a very important job, and life changing for so many young people who may not realise it at the time. There are more and more asbo teens than ever, is that because people are forced to work harder to pay for life that care has been lost and these teens don't know right from wrong?

I work for a Manufacturing/Distribution company of counting, timing, measuring and control equipment. My role is Logistics Manager, and I am in charge of the packing room (goods in/out), my main skill is in Import/Export worldwide and my responsibities have grown over the years to put me where I am now. I enjoy what I do, but more importantly I like who I work with - if it weren't for that then that could make a good job into a crappy job, for me anyway.

I haven`t worked less than 200 mile from home for the last 4 years. I really do need to change my job, its easier said than done though!

Half my days I deal with the absolute scum of society, which the other half (that I work with) lock up.... :D

It's fun though, very busy and at times very stressful as it's a job with very high responsibility. Every day is totally different, which, as a glorified office worker, is pretty cool.

Well my job you can't really call a job, but it is a start.;) Anyway i am a paperboy and i deliver papers to houses before school everyday including weekends. I only get paid 15 pounds a week, but it gets me out of bed every morning and it also keeps me fit. The best part is i can get time off anytime that i want, all i have to do is ask the papershop to get somebody to cover for me, or to get my bro to do it for me.:rolleyes:

I have 2 jobs, one which pays the bills and one which I have passion for.
I enjoy both of them (most of the time), but there is definitely one I would give up if I won the lottery.
I teach science and sell lingerie via my web shop. I'll leave you to guess which is which.

.....and I make um!! Well probably not the ones you deliver, but I work for a biotech company that produces biopharmaceuticals for all phases of clinical trials, we do a lot of work for US companies and the US government!!

I'm a senior financial risk analyst for a credit card\loans company. my job is pretty dull, I sit in front of a pc screen all day.

good thing is it pays preetty well so I can't complain

Iam a network/computer technician, ive only been there 8 months and it's been a steep learning curve but i enjoy it and the experience should really help later in life. Next on my agenda is to do either the Cisco networking course or Microsoft certification.

I test butt-plugs for a living, it's a right pain in the arse.

First time I actually lol'd at a forum post in a while, classic :D

I love my job,
I teach ICT in a primary school to fantastic, motivated children.

Oh, and on friday, I break up for 6 weeks!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!:D

Well I have just finished a late shift at work I have been covered in Shit puss and blood today but I still love my job. I work in an operating theatre.:)

I know how you feel!

I like my job and enjoy playing with and building computers, I enjoy the custom builds that you have to think about more, but the management leaves a lot to be desired and I work with some right nobs, I'm team leader and cant really go any where in the company, the moneys shite and 50 miles to work and back is starting to do my head in!

I really need to get my cv done and stop browsing the web, but when I lost my job I had no idea what to do and I am just in a rut at this place!

at least I have racing to look forward to on a weekend :)

My last job i loved i was an unit manager for a roadshow company looking after my trailer and all the staff/jo public, i travelled the uk and europe met lots of fantastic/famous people and lived the life, i also met some complete loons, the down side i was away for many weeks at a time + i got paid quite well too,

I now drive a taxi which i hate, i spend all day moving smelly horriable lazy scumbags who would benifit from some exercise, :(

Do your CCNA, it's far more interesting than the run of the mill MCSE stuff. Money's better with that on your CV too. :)

Sometimes I love my job, sometimes it makes me want to scream and hurt people...

I work in a Children's Library and until recently its mainly been a Saturday job. But since I'm grown up now and have been downgraded from a student bum to just a bum for the summer I've become a real person who works more than 6 hours a week...!!

Basically, I issue and return books, join people, all that usual library stuff. But most of the time I'm preparing crafts and activities, doing them with kids, yelling at kids, sorting out the computers and that kind of thing... the people I work with are awesome and most days its a really good laugh.

BUT the library's right next to a really rough, horrible estate so you get scum of the earth in a lot. I've had to phone the police lately... which isn't great. Its annoying when its the 10 year olds terrorising you, but quite scary when its the 16 and 17 year olds! But then you get the toddlers... who are absolutely gorgeous...!

Pity I'm leaving in 6 weeks... then I'll be working in a poor-ish school in Chile, trying to teach little hooligans English (Geordie!!). Can't wait!

Im the same i have a paperound but i dont have to go to school. Also i get up just before i have to go and do my papers (3.00pm) but i get pai 28 pounds a week.

Currently self employed in property maintenance which was supposed to be filling in between jobs but seems to be ongoing. Can be fun, depends on the customer you get. Get the odd freelance modelmaking job as well, last job was building scale models of vans for an exhibition.

Previous job I was mechanical engineer in charge of R&D and building animated and animatronic figures for shopping centre Christmas displays and built and installed the figures for the Meadowhall and Metro shopping centres. Very interesting work, great fun just playing with ideas every spring, building figures and displays in the summer, then October to January travelling UK and Ireland installing, maintaining and dismantling the displays.

Before that I was a modelmaker building engineering prototypes (even an r/c prototype for Tyco!), display models and interactive museum displays.

All great fun, interesting work but none of them pay much.

There are times when i really enjoy it, like when i was on the tools and i was getting stuff done but since being in the office and supervising the lads its not as much fun.

I think if i could have my job and the same money and be home every night i would be very happy:)

That must just about keep you in Special Brew for the week. ;)

When do you start College and what subjects?

Simon, we deliver everything fro A to Z including all the interesting ones! All our vehicles come with satellite tracking and an anti hijack system. Can still be crap going into various cities when the chemists are doleing out the methadone, it's as if they can smell it when i roll up in the van!
