No Cobra round Steve?

DCM 30-04-2010 09:49 AM

No, the two Dates that were open, the club couldn't do, so Talywain has stepped in.

Maybe a date could be squeezed in at a later date, but I doubt it.

Jamie.T 30-04-2010 04:53 PM

Will the first Talywain meeting be held on their electric national track?

Jamie.........

GRIFF55 30-04-2010 05:10 PM

I'm guessing they both will mate, its just that the nitro's will use the hill as well as astro.
Looking forward to these now, hope we get a good turnout. Everybody welcome, you dont only have to be welsh:thumbsup:

gnr racer 30-04-2010 06:28 PM

If the club day is anything to go by that was held last week, should be a great turnout :D
I love that hill!!!

c0sie 01-05-2010 03:58 PM

How would I go about booking in for the Caldi round?

DCM 01-05-2010 04:38 PM

You will have to email the club to book in, but I will need to confirm with Pete what email address and whether the club has a contact mobile to.

c0sie 01-05-2010 06:11 PM

FAO Pete.
I want to race outdoors at Caldi :)

Cris :)

peetbee 02-05-2010 04:39 PM

Pete reads topic.
Pete passes out in shock

Cris it's outdoors on grass you fool, that S2 will get dirty!:o:woot:

In all seriousness, any entries can be sent to info [at] caldicotrcracers.co.uk. Just remember to provide details of class, frequencies, pt number, etc.
We'll sort out proper entry forms soon

c0sie 12-05-2010 11:20 AM

The outdoor virgin has emailed his entry :)

peetbee 12-05-2010 12:38 PM

Congratulations you are the first entrant!

c0sie 12-05-2010 12:39 PM

Not like an Englishman to beat the Welsh in their own backyard is it now :D

Apparently I was the first entrant to the oOple race too. Im just too keen for my own good lol

blue_pinky 12-05-2010 12:52 PM

lol...I could email my entry in...but it'd only arrive straight back in my inbox!!!

Pete will officially be dealing with entries, however there are a few of us monitoring the emails so nothing should slip through the net...fingers crossed

You gonna do any other WRCA rounds Cris? The more the merrier :D

RHR was great fun by the way. REALLY nice track they've got...some great features...and way more complex layouts than I'm used to, so took a lot of learning. I'm sure the Oople race will be an awesome weekend, wish I was going.

c0sie 12-05-2010 12:57 PM

Ill speak to you on Friday about RHR mate :)

As for more dates, the May date is too close to Uni exams, June in at oOple, July im in, August is the UKMicroX and September is normally wet....and we all know that me and rain dont get on too well :D

weeman 12-05-2010 03:12 PM

Come on now Chris.. September is the only month is doesent rain!!(well 90% of the time):D

Jamie.T 01-06-2010 09:13 PM

Is Swansea still holing their round? I only ask as im unsure if they have a track or not?

And also, the WRCA site needs to be updated badly, it doesnt even have the proper 2010 racing calender on it. No mention of Talywain on the 30th.

Jamie......

DCM 01-06-2010 09:20 PM

Swansea have plenty of time to sort things out, as for the site, email Matt

Jamie.T 02-06-2010 11:20 AM

Dont think its up to me to e-mail anyone to remind them to update the site. Its something that should be done regardless. Surely the 2010 calender should be correct right?

Jamie....

minimatto 02-06-2010 01:35 PM

2010 calender on website is upto date!!!

Jamie.T 02-06-2010 07:38 PM

Thats odd then, as i just checked and no mention of round 1 just been on the 30th may. Yet the oOple posted calender mentions it. Must be a different website im looking at then !!!!!!!!!!!!;)

DCM 02-06-2010 09:35 PM

would that be Teifiside then Griff?? lol

I would love to be like the old days, and bring back the Welsh GP and Bridgend model show!!

dorris 20-07-2010 11:02 PM

It was mentioned to me last weekend that SDMCC had been knocked back by the Planning Committee regarding their potential new venue so I should imagine they will be looking for an alternative alternative venue for their regional of the 12th September.

Don't know if this is a formal rejection or just more delays but either way it looks unlikely that Swansea will be able to host that meet. Perhaps someone on the WRCA committee should check because if that is the case then at least there is plenty time for another club to step in and cover the date.

axeman 21-07-2010 06:39 AM

Talywain is always here to help!!!!:)

hywel 21-07-2010 07:21 AM

I have been in touch with swansea club with regard to their venue on numerous occasions and we are fully aware of their situation . im sure a veue will be sorted in time . As axeman has said there is talywain I already suggested it to them However i dont want it to look like the Wrca revolves around Talywain despite its obvious attractions as a permenant allweather track So lets see what swansea can come up with .

gnr racer 21-07-2010 07:23 AM

Any chance it could be held at Paul Biggs's ranch in north Gower?..if Swansea are dogged by the planners (but I do hope Swansea sort out a venue)
we had a cracking race day there a few Sundays back

big dave 21-07-2010 08:10 AM

Swansea will be running its WRCA round. At the moment we don't know where. We are in talks with a local site, and it has camping facilitys etc.
Also two clubs within the WRCA have offerd us use of the venues if we would need to use them.

I does look like Swansea has been rejected planning permission for the new site. and it looks like we wont have a venue to use out doors this year.

As soon as i know any more information on where our round will be held i will post it on here for everyone to know.

"we are even concidering running it on the nice grass area outside Swansea county hall":lol:

GRIFF55 21-07-2010 09:47 AM
