PS: I cant reply to the UKMicroX thread in the News section now its been moved :'( how random lol

jimmy 26-04-2010 01:09 PM

oOps sorry bud - for some reason when someone else makes a thread that I move to the news section, they can no longer reply to it :eh?: not sure why! I think vBulletin is getting confused because the thread is there even though you can't post a thread in there - it's gone NUTS.

jimmy 26-04-2010 01:11 PM

Closed the new thread and redirected people here to discuss it to make it a bit easier.

c0sie 26-04-2010 01:25 PM

No worries Jim, you know I appreciate all the help you give :)

Dear Mat North.

I can't finish my application because I don't have my PT number on me, and I can't be bothered to walk to the car to get my BRCA card from my wallet.

Love,

Jon Mack.

PS You are gay and I'm going to beat you at WORM tomorrow, ha ha ha ha ha.

you will recive one from me soon, i just need to dig out the old bank book and get my brca membership renewed.

sldmodels 28-04-2010 04:42 PM

Got my application in the other day and put down the full name of the car (put it down as an 18th when it's now classified as a 16th). Anyway, i put the car down as "LRP Shark ST (RMT?)". Now that's what the full title of the car is, and Cosie asked me "What's the RMT?", now I think we can all guess that the MT stands for Monster Truck, which would make sense, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what the R stood for till I saw the box that came with the car, and it makes so much sense now, so, the full title of my car and a lot of other peoples cars is

LRP Shark ST RMT - Race Monster Truck.

I just can't remember what the ST stands for now, not sure I ever knew.

c0sie 28-04-2010 05:25 PM

Stadium Truck

sldmodels 28-04-2010 05:28 PM

Ah!, that makes sense too.

c0sie 28-04-2010 07:20 PM

Just got off the phone to one of the event sponsors who has submitted ten (yes, 10!) entrys from their best team drivers!!

The "Superstar" is now +10 lol

Jonesy is still top of it though :D

c0sie 28-04-2010 07:30 PM

And by the way, due to a discussion over on t'micro forum...

Quote:

Rule 2.1.2, specifically the rule stating the minimum overall width of a 1/16th scale vehicle has now been changed to the following with immediate effect:

Overall width

Maximum: 209.0mm.

Minimum: N/A

---

All other rules within rule 2.1.2 and the UKMicroX 2010 rules remain the same.

Thanks!!

c0sie 29-04-2010 12:44 PM

Entries are still rolling in, had one of the Team oOple entries today :)

Anyone fancy racing 1/18th scale at the event? After the class changes at the EGM it will be nice to see a heat or two of 1/18th scalers!

Get those RC18T/B's, M18T's, Mini-T's and ZT2's out to play!

FYI, CML Distribution have taken delivery of the new "Team" RC18B2/T2 kits and the RRP is only £110(ish) :D

c0sie 29-04-2010 07:19 PM

Just had an entry from Spain :)

That makes Spain and Wales as foreign entrants so far lol

c0sie 30-04-2010 12:19 PM

Entries opened on Monday afternoon and in the 4 days since then we have had 52 entry applications :)

Furthest applicant was John Price, until Eddie from Spain sent his entry in!!

Superstar list is filling up nicely, with Jonesy topping that list cos hes just had a baby (well..Mrs.Jonesy has lol) and the 10 Team X-FactoryUK/EXOTEK drivers propping him up there :)

More updates as and when :)

c0sie 01-05-2010 03:53 PM

Keith from www.kifopaint.co.uk has just signed on to donate towards the UKMicroX raffle :)

Thanks Keith!

Nick1975 01-05-2010 04:00 PM

c0sie 01-05-2010 04:07 PM

Nick1975 01-05-2010 04:10 PM

Nick1975 02-05-2010 08:10 PM

I may have to put my dunces hat on after this post but ive never run in an event like this or a national before,

Is there a specific list of lipo's were allowed to use?? do they have to be hard cased etc

c0sie 02-05-2010 08:23 PM

Any lipo you like as long as it has a nominal voltage of 7.4v or less :)

Bear in mind though:
Quote:

1.4.2. LiPo/LiFe batteries may be charged to a maximum voltage per cell of 4.20v for LiPo, and 3.70v for LiFe. Overcharging is a serious hazard and will not be tolerated.
and

Quote:

1.5. Lithium cells must have a voltage cut-off device set to 6v. This device can be integrated into the ESC or fitted as an external component.
