Hinkley May 2nd

Just checked the website and seen that this is a 4wd meeting, but I would be quite keen to do both classes if possible.

Not spoken to Tom yet, but thought I would start a thread gauging how much interest there would be a an extra 2wd heat. Mainly because I havent ran the Cougar on grass and this seems like the best opportunity before Oswestry. I know that Hinkley do have a 2wd Regional just before Os but with work commitments I doubt I will be there. If i can get to the 2wd one aswell, would be more than happy to do 4wd there too.

Whats everyones thoughts?

_sleigh_ 23-04-2010 09:26 AM

I'm actually quite keen on this idea too.

Ben Cosgrove 23-04-2010 10:02 AM

I can see no reason why we cant do that aslong as Tom is ok with it in relation to time on the day/entries etc.

We do run club meetings every Saturday 12-6 on the grass track starting tomorrow  where you can run whatever you like.

Good practice/testing for the regional and Oswestry national.

DaveG28 23-04-2010 10:43 AM

I'd quite like a quick run in 2wd too, first time outdoors in that class in 16 years at RHR the next week so a practice seems a good idea!!

Big G 23-04-2010 11:07 AM

you can run with the 4wd's and tip the scales at 1588g :D

Bungleaio 23-04-2010 06:45 PM

2wd is the predominant class at our club meetings so I'm sure they would be happy to have a separate 2wd heat.

Yardeeee 23-04-2010 06:58 PM

It is largely dependent on numbers... I have no problem with 1 single "guest" heat, but this will include trucks also.

If you want to run 2wd at Hinckley, please use a 4wd online form but write (2wd) next to your name. It will have to be first come first served I'm afraid though guys.

Tom

Jonesy 23-04-2010 07:33 PM

I've just entered for 2wd too!

Tom can you confirm please? Have a funny feeling I forgot to 'confirm' the entry!!

DaveG28 23-04-2010 08:08 PM

It's only a bit of rain...

although if there's limited access to the field for tents (like last year), it could make things interesting.
