Matt-h 21-04-2010 12:31 PM

Regional at PDA for me matey.

Matt

simoncrabb 21-04-2010 02:01 PM

I'm not doing the PDA regional now, so I'll be at Torch. I need astro practice, not dirt!

Have a good one, weather looking excellent for Sunday, rather be out enjoying the Sun at Torch and coop up on shed all day. :p

Track is beginning to really come good, with the conditions being bone dry, also more challenging on set up for all:confused:

Matt u have a PM

Hi Simon,

Heard about the V3 gearing issue, always try and overgear than undergear, as motors will always in my experience get hotter when undergeared and feel really slow and gutless.

Have a chat Sunday and see if u can get some more speed.

mikeyscott 21-04-2010 09:50 PM

Weather is looking superb

Very interesting, I've always been 'taught' that undergearing is safer... But it may very well explain my issue with the V3 at the weekend.

Oh, I've fixed the X11 that fell apart at Torch, so I'll be trying that again this Sunday too!

Did you get a new rotor from eBay?

Cool, run the 511X ;)

simoncrabb 22-04-2010 09:39 AM

Someone on oOple was flogging X11 rotors so I grabbed one. 12.5mm.

I'll probably run the DB01 mainly, perhaps with a run or two with the 511 (there is no X).

Cool.

Sintered rotors are the better ones.

Ok 511 it is - I'll update the database :)

I can not make this weekend as it the first round of SRS at Clanfield. Cameron wont be there either.
If anyone wants to pop down after you've finished would be nice for a chat.

Who knows. He nearly made the A at EPR on the GP weekend with the XXCR...

Maybe PDA is something to do next winter ;)

super gripper 25-04-2010 05:48 AM

lets hope next week is good, looking forward to all day racing

mikeyscott 25-04-2010 12:23 PM

Nice meeting today, track v fast and dry. Nice and sunny too. See you all next week.

simoncrabb 25-04-2010 12:27 PM

It was chucking it down at half seven on the way, so I went home again!

My lack of weather patience meant I missed out! Never mind!

It was chucking down here too! so your not the only one who missed out.

dry fast track typical.........

we need a web cam on the shed so we can see what its doing on the track or possibly a commitee member gets to track early and gives everyone a text or something?

Its too far for me to take a chance the weather will be good when I get there.........

mikeyscott 25-04-2010 01:06 PM

Can do the text thing.

Steve broke the track record and I missed out on a fast 13 due to lack of marshals :(

just have to look forward to the all day next weekend :)

I am doing just that, the other Lee should be there next week and crazy L too and if Simon can make it that will be 4 Tamiya's on track......

simoncrabb 25-04-2010 01:17 PM

So was it wet first thing and then dried out?

Roll on next week!

Very slightly damp, no standing water. I was on yellows with no grip probs. Just diff issue.

We all do some track work to help with next weekend and then raced from 10 am.

Any more of the rc lazy crew coming?

simoncrabb 25-04-2010 01:31 PM

I'm hoping at least one more is coming!

Cool. 2wd or 4wd?

simoncrabb 25-04-2010 02:57 PM

No idea, I'd suspect 2wd, or maybe even both. I'm toying with the idea of doing both next weekend...

SteveB 25-04-2010 05:09 PM

I plan to race 2 classes, hope there is good numbers to create 4 - 5 races, plently of time to tweak the car and more of a chance to get around for a chat.

mikeyscott 25-04-2010 06:29 PM

Maybe even an SV or is that pigs might fly? If it does turn up it'll be very tempting, but the two Cat SXs were very good today :)

dibble34 25-04-2010 07:07 PM

Sounds like i missed a good one today. Will the results be up on torch at some point? Want to see how much time i need to make up!

Heat 5 was the heart breaker for me..

Came off the first jump and it just rolled and rolled. With only 4 marshals there was a little delay

I was on for a 13
