NRS @ Biggin

Who's going on Sunday then? What tyres are people running?

ryanlownie 21-04-2010 08:27 AM

I'll be there! Apparently the track is all grass at the moment but I'm waiting to hear back from Birdy on what the track might be like...

Take all astro/grass tyres :)

Chrislong 21-04-2010 09:21 AM

Im there.

Im taking Yellow Minispikes, Spirals, Angles and everything else I own.... but the first 3 I mention are what I expect to use depending on conditions and length of grass.

DaveG28 21-04-2010 09:58 AM

Hmm, last year when I did a bit of elec 8th I ended up using Kamikaze's on grass as well as dirt, I was only going to take my old set of them (for if the grass rips up and leaves dirt) plus a set of minispikes!?

I have got a spare set of rims and mini pins and angle spikes, was going to glue up the pins to use on astro tracks, might leave it and see if Angles are needed on the day!

Looking forward to it!!

chalky 21-04-2010 11:08 AM

angles, spirals, turbo rats . icant see u using mini pins it will be newley mown grass

steelie600 21-04-2010 11:43 AM

Truggies ill be using grinders or Harakiris, and buggies itll be spirals or mini pins or step ups!!

Ill be there OOOOOOOOOO Yeah!!

Dan 23-04-2010 09:22 PM

If the track has just been mowed and there is loose grass then angle spikes. Once any loose grass has been cleared off the step ups.

Chrislong 23-04-2010 09:43 PM

Ive been trying to find photos of video, but there is very little of Biggin. Has anybody got anything?

Whats the score with the track through the day, does it churn up and become badly rutted?

steelie600 23-04-2010 09:45 PM

IIRC its only been used once Chris and this will be the last time due to god bothering busy bodies whinging about noise!!!!

Chrislong 23-04-2010 09:58 PM

:( Thats a bloody shame. Lets make sure it ends on a high! Whats the forecast?

steelie600 23-04-2010 10:04 PM

Well, the Sun shines out of my arse so itll be sunny!!!

steelie600 23-04-2010 10:12 PM

Chrislong 23-04-2010 10:17 PM

Thats good enough for me. Im hoping you'll keep your pants up though Kev!

DaveG28 23-04-2010 11:51 PM

Well, my choice is minispikes, revolvers, kamikaze's and one of pins/angles. This tyre choice in 8th does my head in!!!

Think I'll just stick with minispikes with kamikaze backup for if it's too grippy or when it turns to dirt!

Thought there was permission for 12 meetings, did someone comain after the first??

Not to jump on a bandwagon, but with how the UK is for people complaining, we really need elec 8th to take off!

Kifogrande 23-04-2010 11:55 PM

electric 8th is a bit gay though really, you love nitro fat jesus!

DaveG28 24-04-2010 12:03 AM

Jeez, multiple people calling me a gayo in the space of a few minutes in here :o

Noise is good, sadly councils don't agree:thumbdown:

Full scale race tracks have the same problem sadly...

Belsten 24-04-2010 12:06 AM

faggot :woot:

Belsten 24-04-2010 12:06 AM

beetlejuice

DaveG28 24-04-2010 07:34 PM

Is the postcode LS25 6HJ??

GRIFF55 24-04-2010 07:38 PM

i'm sure its BE3 TL3 juuuuuuuiccccccccccce

Chrislong 24-04-2010 07:44 PM

Thats right Fat Jesus, I put it on NNRC/JE forum.

Electric is gay. There are many Nitro tracks miles away from civilisation, such as NNRC, PRCC, Pendle, Frankley, Stoke etc..... Electric will never replace Nitro, for many reasons.

Stoke the town is miles away from civilisation, let alone the track:woot:

Still your right, can't see any noise complaints there when there's a speedway track next door:thumbsup:

Chrislong 24-04-2010 07:58 PM

Oh, and booking in from 8:30am, im aiming to land approx 8am. Wheel balancer packed (and iv now used it)

DaveG28 24-04-2010 08:33 PM

I was gonna aim for 9ish as there's no engines till 9.30, hopefully booking in won't close by then!

I'm all charged and ready to go. Hope I have enough fuel, got about a 1/3 of my 1(?) gallon tank left, so as long as I use less than half what I did at Neo I'm fine. Are JE taking the shop?

steelie600 24-04-2010 08:47 PM

The track is 95% grass. The double jump is astro the rest are roofing felt.

The gound is a not very bumpy or rutted as we have only had one race on there so far, however at the end of that race there were a few bald patches on the corner exits.

dave g 25-04-2010 06:15 PM

big thanks to all who put on the biggin race today, was a great day even the weather couldn't spoil.

big turnout and the track held up pretty well considering the rain we had.

well done guys

steelie600 25-04-2010 07:17 PM

Us truggy lads tried to destroy the track for you A final buggyists tho!! Crackin day, good track really enjoyed it, just a shame thats the last meeting there!!

Big thanks to Birdy for organising the series, and Bally for running the day!!!! I think we all owe you two a beer for that!!

Chrislong 25-04-2010 08:46 PM

I think Birdy needs a beer or two after that, I know he was stressed towards the end. But really it was an excellent day at a great venue, with great burgers and track. The weather didn't dampen my enjoyment.

So whats next for MB Models track? will Biggin be re-incarnated elsewhere? I hope so!

bally 25-04-2010 08:48 PM

hi all, yes was an excellent day, thanks to neil for letting us run a round and to all the people who helped prepare the track.

This was NOT our last meeting, the council offer who turned up said we wernt braking the planning conditions :-) so all should be good i will post some dates soon.

thanks
bally

Chrislong 25-04-2010 08:55 PM

Great news Bally! Keep up the good work then!!!!

DaveG28 25-04-2010 09:19 PM

Although I wasn't there for long, just want to say thanks too, appreciate the effort, looked like a good track, glad to hear it's not been lost!

Cheers for lending me the tyre balancer Chris:thumbsup:
