live belgium gp
live from belgium yay teddy bear here! weather sucks bin rainning all morning but stopped now and drying up quick! lee is a cry baby! lol will let you all know who is fast 2moz! over and out!
|
yes the weather sucked in the morning but was the track finally dried out late on in the afternoon as people practiced up until 10pm!
Hopefully today will be dry and we will get a better idea of the conditions for the rest of the weekend. The track is frustrating to drive when the grip is low as the Astro has different levels of bite depending upon whether you are on the very inside of the corner or just a cars width off. In the dry, the flowing nature of the track gets you into a rhythm and when you have the right tyres, it is good fun. |
C'mon TT. Who's Quick?
Is it a Brit or some Euro-Geezer? 2WD? 4WD? |
well as you would think lee is el rapido and all brits look like they could make top 15!! ii will put qual on just before finals!
|
check out www.automodelisme.com for live results
|
The link is in Euro-Jabber but i think the result is "Leotard" from "Big E". Well done boys! Great result for the UK.
|
so where is the link I can't seem to find any results
|
What is the 2WD result after leg three? The link has gone to hyper-choke at the possibility of a Brit 1/2/3.
|
8 brits in the top 20, more than the Belgian locals. Looks like it ends.....
http://img66.imageshack.us/img66/2233/p1010287wu2.jpg Good results for Chris Long & Chris Evison also. Imagine how prevalent the brits would be if all the top lads went, oh, will that'll be the euro's then....? |
Result confirmed, 5 Brits in top ten Lee Martin (1), Ellis Stafford (2), Grant Williams (5 Great result for a Southend boy), Simon Reeves (7), Tony Truman (9 not bad for a teddy bear)!

8 in the top 10! well done lads!
|
Cheers guys.
Wow, what a track. Been very lucky with the weather, seeing as the rain stopped on Thursday and came back during presentations on Sunday. Can only recommend it to anyone interested, its great, a really competitive event without it being 'busy', full of rules and pressure. Its also quite a cheap one to intend, even including tyres (its only as expensive as you make it for yourself). Well done to all the brits, Lee did awesome, Matt White did great too with a leg win from 7th on the grid. Chris |
Hello Chris, can i come over next year?
|
Let me be the first to thanks all brits for teaching me how to drink cherry gay beer and smacking eachothers behinds while dancing on a podium in front of many hundreds of belgium girls :)
Thank you guys for a great week. See you next year.. if not before. |
Yes. You have got to wait for them to open up the entries, then get in quick as it books up rapido. I think me and Dan booked in within hours and were already confirmation #30-odd. They only allow 90 2wd and 70 4wd + crappy trucks.
|
Coolio
|
It was great!
The level was very very high, me as a noob dropped like maybe 15 placed compared to last year even though I drive much better now. greetz, jeroen PS: Why are Pirates called Pirates? |

Belgium is very cool, I will defo be planning on going again next year funds allowing.
I was pleased with how I went though a little gutted 7th to 10th were separated by only 1 point in 4wd A and I was at the back of that. The tyres thing really isn’t that bad (thanks to Truman for showing us the fast/easy way to do it) and really makes the car a lot better. The organisers are a cool bunch of people, Willie couldn’t be any more helpful and everyone else was brilliant too. Congrats to Pidge, drove really well! |
cheers all...
