Round 2 - Robin Hood Raceway / York - 08/09 May 2010

This year we decided to make an 'official' oOple area for talking about the BRCA 10th off road nationals - to make it easier for people to find information and find an archive of threads about the event from years gone by.
Feel free to post chat about the RHR / York Club National 2010 in here!

We have the large marquee again kindly supplied br Rob Fox, drivers are welcome to pit in there as last year, you will need to provide your own power though. It is not quite as big as last year.
Caravans are welcome, the charge is £5 for the full weekend, there are no elecrical hookups, all caravans must park around the perimiter of the field.
The camping area will be marked out pretty much opposite the track, the charge is £5 for the full weekend. We do not have any showers but there are public showers at the Moto services 1.5 miles away.
There will be corn growing in the fields around the tracks which is a potential fire risk, be very careful with bbq's and cigarettes.
A caterer will be on site for hot and cold food and drinks.
The www.robinhoodraceway.com site has substantial details of the local hotels and amenities.
Any questions or concerns please see a YORCC club member.

Oh and hope you all have a great weekend !!

Typical Blyth then.
Either very hot with no wind. Or windy as 'F' giving you windburn...
Either way come home looking like a beetroot!

Not sure on 4wd!

James 30-04-2010 09:10 AM

No Cragg at this one?

simoncrabb 04-05-2010 02:52 PM

Yay, I've got a 2wd entry, and R2 on 4wd.

RHR a go-go!

super__dan 04-05-2010 03:30 PM

No pressure but Tom and Hellsbells (James) will be frickin fast

emzy 04-05-2010 10:33 PM

Anyone passing through Sheffield on Friday afternoon? :D I can get to the M1 where Meadowhall (the big pretty shopping centre) is.

Jonesy 04-05-2010 11:59 PM

It's not that far on a train Em....... :p

It would have been the way I was going if I was coming on the Friday but the missus has stopped those plans, apparently I need to be at home as much as possible with a new born so travelling back on the Saturday night too!!!

emzy 05-05-2010 12:09 AM

I'm totally up for the train - it's the looooong walk after the train that I don't really fancy!

Is Retford the nearest train station? Or Worksop?

James 05-05-2010 07:33 AM

Hi Emz, Retford is closest but only by about a mile. They will be about 3 and 4 miles respectively :)

Dont forget everyone we have the huge marquee again for pitting in, SAME SIZE AS LAST YEAR, so feel free to pit in there with your generator outside and add to a great atmosphere.

The marquee will have open entrances all weekend, it will not be secure at all it is entirely racers choice if they want to risk it in there overnight. I'm sure tables and large items will be left overnight and as Dave says a few bits of kit :woot:. It's up to you! :)

I left all my stuff there last year minus transmitter and cars. It was totally fine. I will probably be doing the same again this year :)

Hulk 06-05-2010 10:00 PM

You actually left your cars aswell :woot:

Remember me, Rich Lowe, Ben Riley, my bro and a some others having a few drinks on the table next to yours and seeing your cars.

Sure peoples stuff will be safe left overnight but i personally wouldnt risk leaving your expensive equipment.

simoncrabb 07-05-2010 06:37 PM

Windy at RHR, I've started my blog post already...
