AMC Langenfeld Neue Strecke Bauarbeiten
Der AMC Langenfeld baut eine neue Strecke. Es wird eine reine Kunstrasenstrecke und ist so gebaut, daß der Streckenverlauf variabel gelegt werden kann.
Damit haben wir Samstag morgen angefangen (alte Fotos, es hat nicht geschneit ;) ) Davor hatten wir schon einen Arbeitseinsatz gehabt. Jetzt nur noch Kunstrasen drauf und fertig ist die 2WD DM Strecke! The AMC Langenfeld is building a new track. It will be a astroturf track with variable layout. This is what we started with this saturday after having put in a weekends worth of work in before. The latest date we have to have it ready for is the 16th of May, where we are running a combined club race and NRW Offroad Cup.
That collides with the Euros warmup and an Arendonk Clubrace, but we would gladly see some Belgian madness in the pits in May :thumbsup: There is an ETAP nearby and as far as I know tents aren't a problem either as long as we know beforehand. We have been thinking of running a Reedy-Style race sometime too but that is in early planning without a date yet either.... No qualifying - Just finals :thumbsup: |

Technically, the first race is scheduled for 16th of may... Hope we get it laid until then!
You know how you wanted to practise on bumpy tracks... We might be able to help you there until we get a big roller :D |

Saw Wouter and didn't think twice :blush: Yes it is bUmPy at the moment but we are going to do something about that as soon as the astro is laid. It won't be as smooth as Kampenhout but I'm hoping we'll get it to something like Arendonk. At least the jump faces are smooth as silk :) |

Well we continued work yesterday and got a fair bit done. we still have about 1/4 of the track to lay and finish up some details and we're done. Pics to follow soon. Just have to get them from a club colleague. We gave it a quick blast with a B4 yesterday and everything we built seems to work OK. A little bit of detail work here and there to get it completely perfect and it'll be killer! The astro has the perfect amount of grip. Not too much but certainly not too little. |

Minipins will work just fine as there is still a fair bit of sand in the astro making it not too grippy yet.

I'm Fernando from Bilbao. I raced there 3 or 4 time with my old Tamiya, in 2008 when I was working in Köln (The day when Vettel winned his first race for example :thumbsup:). The new track looks really good. I hope I can back one day and try the new one. According to your calendar the only thing it clashes with is an Arendonk club race. |

I would like to back to Langelfed this coming summer, maybe with a couple of friends. I'm thinking on the 17th of july. In the schedule form your web site this race is maked as "5. NRW Offroad Cup & 5. Lauf zur off. Clubmeisterschaft" Is going to be 4WD race too? Best regards. :) |
