EPR SE GP 2010
Having spoken to our landlords on Saturday, we can confirm that the EPR SE GP 2010 has now been scheduled for Sunday 11 April 2010!
Further details will become available leading up to the event but as has discussed elsewhere previously we will be accommodating the following classes: 2WD 4WD Stock* 4WD Modified Short Course & Stadium Truck* * On the proviso that we get enough entrants to build at least one heat. Format will be much the same as the rounds of the Winter Warmer Championships. Track WILL NOT open until approx. 08:30 for practice so please DO NOT arrive too early! The track has near neighbours which we do not want upset by excessive early noise, thank you! Qualifying will be decided on the day dependant on the weather, anybody fancy FTD? Finals, both quantity and duration will depend a lot on how many turn up so we may have to make another decision on the day. Can we also take this opportunity to point out to Newbie & Junior trophy winners from the recently completed Winter Warmer series 09/10, these trophies will be presented at the EPR SE GP 2010 so please make every effort to come along. See you all there, watch out for further announcements, especially regarding any impacts (parking etc.) due to weather! EPR Committee |
Count me in. I will also email the other's details
What sort of attendance level are you expecting? What's the cost going to be to enter this meeting? I assume the control tyre will be schumacher mini spikes Will there be a shop on site for this meeting carrying spares etc? |
Is it prebook or turn up on the day?
|
Mike - email received, thanks! If there's any more additions just let Matt and myself know.
No idea on attendance, could be big if recent meetings are anything to go by, depends what else is on and obviously weather! Would expect cost to be something like Winter Warmer series. Think we might have mentioned this once or twice before.....Schumacher Mini Spikes, Yellows (Dry) or Greens (Damp), are the tyres of choice around EPR! Not sure if there'll be an actual shop but, if not, there'll be plenty of us with spares, tyres, wheels and inserts, I'm sure! Steve T - Turn up on the day but if you've not been before you could email (through the website Mail-in address) your details, as we required for our Winter series, it would make booking-in much easier, thanks! Thanks for the details, I thought I'd just check as a number of other TORCH racers "may" make the trip.
Marc at MK Racing will be at EPR from what he has told me with tyres etc. Best speak to him direct. Looking forward to it and hoping for some fine weather. |
Think the weather is looking good for this weekend :)

Certainly a couple of big hits in the final. XX4 (not sure whose) took a massive hit and was going really well.

I think I got a few of the the first 2WD heat, but then didn't really have time. |

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves and can see the ongoing developments that we are making to the track, should be a lot different over the next few weeks/months! BIG congrats to all the 2010 EPR SE GP winners:woot: 2WD - Lee Martin (new Tamiya) 4WD - Ellis Stafford (new X-Factory prototype!) 4WD Stock - Andy Johnson (S4.....I think?) SCT/Truck - Steve Brooke (Losi.....ooh that's me!) Race of the day for me (but I didn't see them all!) the 4WD Stock A Final! What a race! The win and new 2010 EPR SE GP Stock Championship to patience personified, Andy Johnson, from '3 Corners Crewie'! Why '3 Corners' I here some of you ask? Well that how far he was from retaining his title:blush: Thanks again, please keep the thread alive, always interested to here both bouquets and barbed wire! EPR Committee |

Indeed you will. Just got to do the running of our club again. It's so nice to come and race without having to worry about running a club. I have achieved more with my SX at EPR than I have at TORCH recently as I have the time to talk to people and get out there and understand the thing better.
With the summer on it's way I'll be heading up to TORCH for practice. My prep work wasn't as good this time for EPR as I didn't have a 100% finish record like recent weeks :( Good luck with your regional (can't make it due to TORCH commitments) Hope to see you at the National. Steve will run a SV rather than his XX Many thanks. |
I have to be loyal to the Eastbourne (EECC) forum Tamiya anyone.

Any from the 4WD lower heats ;)
