Outdoor Racing Returns To Oz
 

As per the title, Oswestry will be racing outdoors as of this Thursday (25th March). There will be someone at the club from around 6:15 so feel free to pop down for a fun relaxed evening of racing! It'll be good to be back outside!! :thumbsup:

Sounds like ideal practice Jonesy, may come down the next few weeks, will struggle to get there before 7 though, is that ok?

yer thats fine racing doesnt start till around half 7 ish. we just try to be down early to give ppl time to do some practice and to try a few things on the cars

Good news - means outdoor season is nearly upon us again - proper racing Yeh!!

Just to let you know that it is highly unlikely that we will be running on the outdoor track this Thursday due to the weather.

The indoor track is set-up still and we will be running one way or the other

What surface is it indoors again mate?

Carpet and polished floor, worn mini-pins do the trick mate

Thats the plan, Ash has set the track up and said it was fairly dry on Sun so should be running.

yer come down, we open up the gates around 630 and then the last person goes around 1000 - 1030

you can go on the track as much as u like till racing starts around 730 or so

Do you usally get three rounds and a final? Is the track lit up?

yer 3 rounds, and a final for the ppl that stay, some ppl leave after the heats. and the track is lit up at night yes

£6.00 non-members, 3 races and a final starting from 7:45(ish) and open practise from when you get there until racing starts

Note that the venue does not have a postcode but the multimap link from the website will get you there

Racing is one tomorrow night, the only difference being if it's heavy rain in which case the track will be open but there may not be a meeting

put "52.871902,-3.035166" into google maps. it will pin point the track
