Your choice for 2010

Trying to get a picture of the racing scene in the U.K. What people are driving. Not enough poll options for my taste so it includes both 2wd and 4wd.

Bungleaio 24-02-2010 07:54 PM

I'm looking forward to getting the durango dirty!

Alex H 24-02-2010 09:17 PM

Carless for the moment but if I would buy one today it would absolutely be a TRF511. Just love it:thumbsup:. Time for a 2wd from them too soon I hope. The time is right....

See that Associated have an advantage right now in the poll. Same situation in Sweden but people are looking for alternatives. Both Kyoshos 4wd and Durango are making way here. And donīt forget Schumacher thanks to the introduction of the Cougar.

Just what I was thinking - no Ansmann either.

BJ4 (Original) off-road (4wd), Tamiya TA05R (touring car)

Others that will get a runout:
HPI E-Firestorm (truck), HPI Blitz (short course), Madrat (2wd)

paulc 25-02-2010 06:00 PM

durango and kyosho rb5 for me

chris68nufc 25-02-2010 06:08 PM

Im a bit surprised to see so many Tamiyas, is this just to do with one man? Mr Martin? Looks like his appointment has gone down well:D

mole2k 25-02-2010 06:16 PM

It would of been interesting to see the same poll done a few months previous to this!

Really?? I'm more suprised with the number of Durangos....

Lee Martin 26-02-2010 08:50 AM

goooooooooooooo TAMIYA!

RogerM 26-02-2010 09:42 AM

I'm suprised with how few Kyoshos ... given the number of people who have been in touch with me recently saying they had just got an RB5 or a ZX5-FS asking for set-ups and general advice I'd have expected to see 20 plus extra on this list.

I'm shocked at the number of Tamiyas, not because of the car which is without question an excellent one but because of the lack of a proper UK support network (that I know of anyway).
Just goes to show what the services of a fast and popular driver can do for a brand.

For me it's great to see so many competative options out there, I can't remember when 1/10th offroad had it so good.

mikeyscott 26-02-2010 09:45 AM

For me Schumacher and Associated are the easiest parts to get, so again a surprise for not more Schumacher machines.

We've got no Kyosho's at our club. All associated machines in 2WD and 4WD is Associated and Schumacher

Alex H 26-02-2010 09:53 AM

The reason I did not post more poll options was because I could not:(. Max 10 options.
Perhaps two different polls. One 2wd and one 4wd.

I am also surprised over the many Tamiyas but look at it!!! It is a beauty and a marvellous machine. Especially now when the Alaste diffcovers are available.http://www.qtl.co.il/img/copy.pnghttp://www.google.com/favicon.icohttp://www.babylon.com/favicon.ico

Hotbodies D4 WCE + Kyosho RB5 SP

JohnM 28-02-2010 01:17 PM

Durango for me, don't want to race anything else ever again:thumbsup:

As for people being suprised at the number of Tamiyas, why?, A the 501/511 are great cars, but B, there are other Tamiya cars that people are still racing, Durga for example, hell I could've voted Tamiya just for my Hotshot:D
