28th Feb

We're back to evening racing this week at seaham, doors open 6.15.

Please post here if your going, as we need 10 people just to pay the rent and with worksop being on not sure what will be happening.

b4pete 24-02-2010 03:25 PM

Just read this post after reading ure pm, and after posting on the other thread, doh!!

Why go all the way down there when there is racing on ure doorstep?!?!!

chrispattinson 24-02-2010 03:44 PM

Seaham is too easy

Its a big competition, not club racing @ Worksop.

b4pete 24-02-2010 03:51 PM

Ill make it difficult, ill loosen things on your car when your not looking to make it harder for you

Pack is at Worksop this weekend.....atleast he beter be.. it's his turn to drive me down there.

AdamS 25-02-2010 02:13 PM

Pack Drives... no way... he had me trail him up to stannington on sunday... he was having "knee issues"... likely story..

chris68nufc 25-02-2010 06:05 PM

The god damn cripple spoilt one of my Qualifiers. I forgot that he wasnt very mobile and was going to shout at him for being slow!!
Sorry mate, but surely you could have got somebody to marshal for you.

turbobrick 26-02-2010 02:11 PM

We've managed to get the 10 saying they will attend, just, so racing will be on this week

chrispattinson 26-02-2010 02:27 PM

Surely the club should be on even if less than 10 turn up??
Ive had a really good race meeting at Jarrow one night with only 4 of us there

Yes it could for enjoyment, but now we're paying £50 not £5 we don't have unlimited funds to pay out for regular quiet meetings. I can't see members wanting to pay £12.50 each to race if there was only 4 to split the rent costs equally. When we were at Jarrow 4 racers covered the rent, now it doesn't.

chris68nufc 26-02-2010 07:33 PM

Can we not setup some kind of regular payment so that during quiet times we are covered for the rent??

chris68nufc 26-02-2010 07:34 PM

Or is that what memberships are for??

I will have to join or is it free you first 3 times??

turbobrick 26-02-2010 07:59 PM

Membership fees would only cover it for a couple of weeks.

We've got money in the bank to cover shortfalls for x amount of time, but as I was saying last week it can't be covered indefinately and if there is only going to be a couple of people there it's better to not run that week instead of losing loads of money.

Dodging turnbuckles flying off those really expensive durangos is bad enough, you could put someone's eye out with those things. :woot:

Unfortunately I'll be at worksop too.

Chris I have now concluded that Jeff has bigger balls than you, you are weak.

Ok, and understood.

I was under the impression we paid to rent the hall whether we used it or not.
