Bury Clean-Up
A big thank you to TEAM OOPLE who managed to put Bury Members to shame for staying (or even turning up) to clean up after the National.
As for the racers who were asked to take their rubbish home........ well they won't be back will they. Thanks again to the clean-up party. |
We took a black bin bag full of rubbish away from our camp :(
G |
Us too... I had to sit with it between my legs for about half an hour until we stopped at a services! And the plastic bag stuck to my legs... URGH.
|
Thanks Rog, I don't think we got away till well after 8, but it was a bit of a laugh - I didn't realise just how much stuff there was to sort out though, it was crazy. It was a great weekend tho, track was great and the rodeo bull was genius.
|
this was talked about between a few people over the weekend, and before we start i took all my rubbish with me.
but i can from a point of view see why some people left there's, who wants a long drive home with a car full a 2-3 day old bag of rubbish thats been sat in the sun festering and smelling. surely some of the money given to clubs to run a national could be used to hire a small skip at a cost of about £70? when ever we ran a national/end of season at worcester i contacted the council about arranging a rubbish collection on the monday morning and they where more than happy as long as it was all collected and left in one place. also with today's recycling society and the local council's getting extra incentives from the goverment to recycle they would possibly supply free recycling bins for the weekend. |
Burys situation is abit different from other clubs mr dyke, as they have pressures from a few people regarding the club being there.
as Jimmy said, it was a laugh putting everything away.. I finished up abit wet thanks to stu and jimmy trying to wrap me up in the gazebo sides, just after the downpour, cheers doods :D :p ever need help again you can give me a shout. |
didnt say it was easy solution mr rotheram, just taking smelly rubbish home wasnt ideal!

no ones pointing fingers, but there was quite abit. thank you to everyone who did take theirs home!
getting rid of all the rubbish that was left over wasn't a plesent job though. |
ill be honest i think we might have left one bag, i know we took one beacuase i tool all the pastic stuff corona bottoles and fosters in recycling last night...but the 2 big bottels of whiskey where not in there, so if there was a bag with 2 bottles then it was porb my bag and all i can say is sorry it was not intentionaly done.
|
There was an absolute shed load (quite literally) of bags in the field. I think we should have got a skip - though it's pretty bang on 100% certain it would have been set on fire the same night.:eh?:
|
Yeah the Geni stealing kids would have had fun with the rubbish and porob drank the dregs in my whiseky bottles
thanks again to the guys who stoped them nicking my top of the range geni ( haha) |
They should string them up by the b***s they where looking for trouble i didnt feel safe while in bed as my caravan was closes to the woods where they had been hanging about.

All weekend I had visions of my Dad reversing the car with the two gennies still attached to his wheel...
|
i thought it was funny that with all the honda and kipor genny's around they tried to nick a 2 stroke blackspur (sorry millzy lol).....show's how much sense they had:D
|
Im pretty sure Si was heavily intoxicated by then too, im sure he would have made them regret it :D
|
'by then'? He was heavily intoxicated all weekend wasn't he...?!
|
stupid kids i said half inch me a honda geni and they tried to sell my one back to me.
the smoke comnig out of it might have given them the impression it was a bong |
i saw 4 of them hanging around the big tent behind race control, but as i wondered near them they all walked off :( .

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/a...av-central.jpg Nah, they were just a bunch of badly dressed, pea-brained, opportunist-thieving gutter dwellers who stood out a mile and reeked of shiftiness. Well done to everyone for keeping an eye on each others' stuff. |
That lad has something in his T-shirt!!!! :eh?:
|
He was probably looking after their communal quota of brain cell (singular)
|
Whats with the rolled up trousers? some new style o something? I'll have to try it...:D
.....aww, look, he's cut his arm. Probably did it crawling out of some old dears window, after he'd smashed it getting in! |
Think I must have slept thru all this since I never saw these creatures or any of their filthy antics.
|
With regard to the rolled up trousers, I think that you need to find out from Darrn Bloomfield what that is all about!
He was sporting that 'look' on Sunday!!!! |
Darren's also been known to do white tracksuit bottoms in the rain and mud AND tracksuit bottoms tucked into socks... maybe we should ask him about those too...!! Poor misguided youth....! :D
|
4th in the que is simon.....what the hell hit him you fool hit him...bloody intoxicated pitmoneky
