Pity about my wipeout in the final but heyhoo  (Thanks for the fix lads , you know who you are cheers)Thought i did really well in my 4 heats not to many crashes, good track & kept it quite consistant! even though the points system (in my opinon) is rubbish and i kept losing points all day :( but had a good laugh and seen some funny crashes and breakages :woot: look forward to the last meet

top day

wicked day ,the track was awsome just like last time (open but technical
in places) made for close fun racing with lots of overtaking places
was having the best day ever until my car set on fire in the 4th round:cry:
still qualified 8th and finished 6th ((((big thanks to damien for the loan of the speedo in the final)))))

Si Coe 22-02-2010 12:00 AM

That was your car? I've seen speedos catch fire before, but yours was something else!

I'm not sure I really like the track that much myself. I'm allowed to say that, I designed it! It just wasn't quite what I had in mind I guess - or maybe its just that I hated the far corner by the mats due to the kicker jump I just couldn't get right and the staggered boards didn't work like I wanted. But I guess I'm still learning this stuff.

But I had fun, even if the day was mostly spent wrenching cars - 2 of mine, 1 of Johnny's and Mark's. Might just switch to being a full time mechanic - its not like my driving is any good!

Spencer Mulcahy 22-02-2010 12:44 PM

I had the best day so far loved the track. Didnt think it was going to be so good when I got there and I was in the top heat 4wd, but I ended up with 2 10th in rounds well happy with that. Just shows how you up your game when driving with better drivers. The final was good as well I will get you next time Mr Caro LOL.

Now an apology for my potty mouth in the final I was well in the grove and made a mistake trying to catch Nick the marshal did his best with cars coming at him from everywhere and I start shouting at him not cool .

Thanks the woodys for this fantastic series I am not doing the last one but I realy enjoyed all the ones I have done.

Chrislong 22-02-2010 01:20 PM

Excellent day again, great track etc. Even when weather starts off poor its great that so many still turn up.

Hope not too many cars were damaged going down the slope. GO SLOWER!

IceMike 22-02-2010 01:46 PM

Who was it that went into the fance anyways??

had a good day after a few issues, just wish ppl would pull out the way when there bein lapped, thanks whoever it was that t-boned me in my final.

all good though

njc11 22-02-2010 02:07 PM

Had an ace day.. one of the best tracks yet..

We want more SC10 type trucks.. they are loads of fun!

Will be there for set up at the next one.. had work commitments this weekend which is why i was late..

TonyM 22-02-2010 02:17 PM

Super day - thanks Rog/Stu and the rest of the Bury guys for an excellent track.

My driving was absolutely crap [even worse than usual], so apologies to anyone I crossed. I just couldn't understand why both cars were all over the place.

On strip down I found I’d fitted a B4 front shock shaft to my B44 - hence it being rather lopsided on the jumps and the rear shock tower was split, but you could only see this when you pushed the tower. My X6 had massive understeer and I’ve found one of the front shock springs had actually cracked in two, again I didn’t notice this until stripped down. Hey ho – only me to blame.

I slid down the slope and came to a stop millimeters from the fence but didn't actually hit it! In my defence though I was driving my wifes car with doesn't handle like mine at all. But then I was only in that car because my car is so crap in the snow that at the previous snowy round I was only able to leave because a couple of the Bury guys pushed me all the way up the hill!

Yeah saw your Tamiya in bits just like mine did, think it was steering related? The guys did a good job getting it back together trackside.

Oh and don't rev your wheels when your upside down next time you nasty man! :)

Was my fault as i hit the edging at the end of the straight, sent me cart wheeling, but think it was just the turnbuckles that had popped off not too sure! and yeah i did thank them in my earlier post as i dont know who they were but thanks again!

Regarding this wheel spinning and nasty mnn... not guilty Ry  if i did it was by mistake as i know better than that!

yep it was mine and i can still smell it!!!(melted my chassis and everything) that far corner and jump was a bit tricky but only if it was
aproached too quickly and jumped too fast
i think your design of track was good coz it gave the x6 and the b4 etc drivers an even chance ,i was racing pretty much all day with nick caro
and i could see where i was quicker and where he was quicker with his rb5
great racing even down to the last corner in the final:thumbsup:(sorry nick)

No problem Andy, to be honest I thought you had broken something but it was opposing turnbuckles that popped off, tricky when you are rushing to put them on!
Anyway, no probs at all, I do have a soft spot for Tamiya's:blush:
