Racing Sunday 21st Febuary 2010

Racing as normal on Sunday, who's in?

Hopefully the numbers will pick up as we've spent a lot of money on kit and so for and it would be nice for a decent turn out.

Yes I know a number of you are hankering after an all day meeting - that'll be April I expect. I also appreciate that the weather this time of year is rubbish.

We are also looking at a couple of track maintenance days after Easter on a Saturday. This is to help us get the track in good shape for the summer to enable some great racing. It will also enable us to consider all day racing more as there are some things such as parking that needs to be sorted out.

If the weather is with us for the maintenance day I could well plug the laptop in to enable some people to practice AFTER track work has been done.

Randall34 15-02-2010 03:49 PM

I know its only monday, but i'm busting to get back racing next week. Depending on the tyres i have, i might run in 4WD, if not i'll be test running it after.
Hopefully there will be more people there next week.

I'm looking at a return for next Sunday :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: .

not raced since October, been toooooooo fracking long.

Still be running the Durga in 4wd

Hopefully, the weather is nice-ish.

See you then

Last minute visit from parents last week but I will be there this weekend topping up the number of B4's.

John

Weather not looking too good all week, even sunday looks showery :(.

super gripper 17-02-2010 10:13 AM

Hoping to be there, depends on the weather obviously. I have lipo to try out this weekend.

Lets hope the 4wd numbers go up some more

Cammers 17-02-2010 06:42 PM

I'll be there to do battle if weather is reasonable, X6 seems so much more stable and balanced than the B4, just need to get it set up right and see if the times come down.

Good man, well when I've got my Cougar SV I'll join the 2WD boys a bit more. Pending on numbers I may alternate etc. or something.

I hope to be there as long as not too wet. May be a B4 day for me, unless my D4 Parts arrive

What have you done to the D4?

dibble34 17-02-2010 09:19 PM

Nothing, the outdrives on the slipper clutch are worn. It's a long story but it made the drive shaft to the rear diff shear off as well:cry:

Dave I thought the days of the D4 are numbered, maybe tune your tranny into my car next week and try my cat? You will not be dissapointed.

The only thing that will stop me racing this Sunday is my current state of man flu.

dibble34 17-02-2010 09:25 PM

yep, think i may treat myself to a cat sx 2 this year, but not until later on. The D4 is a good car, probably better now than when i got it, but do like the look of the cat;)

Yeah join the Cat SX club :)

Now is the time to pick up a MK1 bargin, unless you go for a Cat SX S1 which will have the big bore shocks etc

dibble34 17-02-2010 09:30 PM

This time i want the latest model and new. I also fancy a build now i have learnt so much. Have to admit i am torn between the sx2 or the S1 version if everything is the same. Those big bore shocks have to be a winner round our track :)

Fair enough :)

As for which one, your call. I think the S1 is a good car too and Simon Moss runs the S1 chassis on his Cat SX from what I have seen as does Mr Brown..

Weather is looking ok for Sunday, just hope all the rain from today it's too much of a problem :(

Freakypen 19-02-2010 07:17 PM

Well Paul, I reckon u will need to clean more than just your Losi after Sunday racing, well one at least, I do it every week with 4wd so will be a ickle muddy but more off the track but ill sort some atro fore some pit places just to use it up.

dibble34 20-02-2010 02:19 PM

You can put me down for 2wd Mike, the D4 is out of action :(.
Don't suppose you or Steve have a 40mhz AM receiver kicking around i could borrow? I purchased one off here, but hasn't arrived. No problem if not, just wanted to try sticks tomorrow

mikeyscott 20-02-2010 02:59 PM

Can't help there i'm afraid.

Mm I am tempted to get my b4 running now

Several things.

1) I only have speed passion v3 motors avaliable and they are vented brushless. I don't really want that hanging out the back of the B4.. I've got the V3s for my Cougar SV

2) I'm still set-up for indoors - Petit RC from January

3) Thinking of the remaining 4WD runners...

4) Cat SX needs track time if I want to go to EPR on the 7th.

I may borrow some brushed gear if I want to run my b4. The only thing in the B4 at the mo is a spektrum RX and a Tekin RS Pro

mikeyscott 20-02-2010 03:44 PM

mmm my 8.5 is not vented, so now tempted to head to 2WD, but still thinking of other 4WD runners.

mikeyscott 20-02-2010 03:54 PM

Hey I could race both classes :)

dibble34 20-02-2010 06:45 PM

Get the b4 ready and see what numbers are like :)

mikeyscott 20-02-2010 07:16 PM

Trying, but my sanwa servo is too small :( need another savox as my first savox is now in the cat. Will see if Steve has one I can rob

David Church 20-02-2010 07:24 PM
