Simon Moss running the new Schumacher Cougar SV in its race meeting was in dominant form at the 2010 National BRCA Winter Open - the replacement race for the National Indoor Finals.

Simon won all five of his races in this new Reedy format national event and was the only driver with a perfect score of 4 points (best 4 races to count from 5).

Some body know the kind of batteries used by Simon ? Stick or Saddle ?
It's look like "stick" on the picture ...we can see the red flame of the speedpassion batteries across the windows body...

mw02veg 01-02-2010 06:16 AM

DCM 01-02-2010 10:12 AM

where does the steering servo sit then, as it must be mighty tight up front?

Fabs 01-02-2010 10:17 AM

I disagree, the best car out there was mine, but I'm nowhere near good enough to show it...

Think inverted steering. You can almost see it in one of the pictures.

jimmy 01-02-2010 11:48 AM

So they've been couriered straight from Worksop. Fair enough.

So what's the next event they'll be at?

Is the price and date going to be announced at the fair?

No such luck. Had to give it back. only one more week, but it will be worth the wait.

Cool.

Welcome to borrow your old B4 for the weekend if you're racing 2WD

Stu 01-02-2010 05:16 PM

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the other special thing Simon did on Saturday.

jimmy 01-02-2010 05:18 PM

What, stick a broken jagged 2mm driver all the way thru his hand after the 1st round? I think that'd be enough to put me off my best laps.

David Church 01-02-2010 08:10 PM

Oh yeah, quality!!!! Hehe:p

I am surprised it didn't put him off his driving, wouldn't that have been something, TQ the first round then stab a broken driver through your hand and not be able to race, and it went all the way through and out the other side:o

Jonesy 01-02-2010 08:49 PM

It was a special weekend from all!! How can you put a broken screwdriver all the way through your hand and then carry on racing?

The car looked awesome in the hands of Si with Grant and Tom not too far behind, it's now a slightly longer wait for the rest of us team drivers, but not to long hopefully

mikeyscott 01-02-2010 08:51 PM

All I'll say is ouch and how on earth did he do that? Messing around or fighting with one of the cars?

Jonesy 01-02-2010 08:53 PM

I believe screwing the gearbox cover back onto the CAT (don't hold me to that) and the driver snapped and went straight threw. To be fair to Si he got on with it.

He mentioned to me today that he's had it seen to and a couple of mm either side he would have broken it! Lucky sod :p

Si Coe 01-02-2010 10:07 PM

I take it stabbing yourself in the hand isn't a requirement to drive the Cougar SV then. Cos that could really hurt the sales (and a lot of hands too)

I Hope this does'nt turn out to be Si's ritual for winning. Could be painfull :p

Well done thought, excellent showing first time out

It's a good job he wasn't using a 4mm driver then :woot:

That's it Ben, chuck it out there, haha.
Remember it was a Reedy style racing and the winner is the guy with the lowest points.

And you gotta be in it to win it.:p

mof 02-02-2010 08:21 AM

...but where are all the pics of Cougar SVs inner layout? :)

Patience.

Indeed would have good to see it up against Cragg and Lee, but that still looked like a strong field.

Roll on it's first big outdoor meeting?

Is Tom running it at the PDA meeting (not that I'm going).
