TeamC 4wd TC04
I,ve just had an email from TeamC who tells me the new 4wd buggy TC04 will be ready in about 10 days time.
I have no idea if Ansmann will be bringing these over here but heres hoping they will. They will also release the TR04 RTR which will be lower spec plastic shocks etc. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/tco4tro4.jpg |

You know me Carl
i,ll try anything ;) ...One more for the collection.:) |
would like this but why saddle packs as the ansmann/team c buggies are all about low price point and good value for the money now im going to have to invest in more lipo's which takes the price up into many other manufacturers range, which may sway my desicion, pity

The TQ Racing version of the car is being tested now and should be at the big CRCRC electric race in the US - which I believe starts next week. :D

some new 4wd tc04 pics at the bottom of this report
http://crcrc.blogspot.com/2010/01/tq...west-race.html |
Looking at the report, the car looks like a Hotbodies D4 with a plastic chassis (not that I'm an expert at modern 4wd chassis) - do we think that's what it's going to be? (much like the Madrat is a copy of an RC10B4)
|
Looks to me the TCO4 is very similar to to the Bmax(saddle pack) and the TRO4 (stick pack)is more like the HPI cyber 10b.
Still waiting for price/release dates from TeamC though |

Bit D4, bit B-Maxx, bit Lazer. But then like the Madrat I expected it would be similar to other cars not a copy. The Madrat isn't a B4 clone, its more RB5 than B4 but different from both.
Team C don't clone - they simply study the competition and take the best bits (best for them I might add - features like the plastic chassis may be more about production costs than performance). The result is not original, but its also not identical either. My question is whether Ansmann would sell this car here. It doesn't really have a place in their range being a pretty high end car, and a cheaper version would clash with the Master Smacker. The X-Pro hasn't been a success for them (Madrats sell well but few people want to pay the asking price for an X-Pro when a used B4 costs less and a new one not much more) so it seems unlikely they would be interested in a 4wd equivalent. |

To sell at that price they'd have to Madratise it. The car in the photos is nearer a 4wd equivalent to an X-Pro so would need a lot of cost cutting to get under £150.

The TR04 will be the madratised version.it has the plastic shocks etc.
|
be interesting to see how much the 'pro-spec' one retails for though, but if Annsmann bring it in, they need to make more effort with the upgrades and race support.

The problem being, is Annsmann are only, really, middle men, so development work would be difficult.

But the problem being, you either end up with a car with lots of 'personal mods' on it, or a car with lots of bespoke stuff, unless you can get a good relationship with the people who actually 'design' the car
|
The guys at TQ Racing are developing the car themselves, and the results are paying off. Ansmann have maybe decided not to go down this route!!!
|
well i am cading out a mid for it as we speek so i think i will sell a converstion for it if it looks like it will work

This video is of JP Richards at the big CRCRC Mid West Champs in the US last weekend. World Champ Jared Tebo checks out on the field, but JP is leading the rest of the field with his TQ SX10 2w, including World Champ Ryan Cavalieri - so this was about as stiff a competition as it gets.
Don't need to change much on this car out of the box. http://redirectingat.com/?id=42X1295...%3Dw9Es3HkpE_k |
Nice vid nikos  that track looks great. Its good to see the buggy doing so well.

TR04(blizzard) info now up

Now that looks like an excellent buggy...
I've been bashing/racing with my Madrat/Xpro cross for a short while now and I'm amazed at how well it performs. If Ansmann takes this new 4x4 version on board and provides full support then this line of cars could go a long way. I'm sticking with Ansmann for the foreseeable future and upgrading as part become available. Very sturdy and well designed cars with lots of hop-up options and all very well priced. I hope to be competing with my 2wd and 4wd within the year :D K |
TC04 (X4-pro) info now up

Some of the TQ drivers have been working with the factory to tidy up a few things with the car, reports are it's been fast, easy to drive and durable - all good things in my book. Should be a few more weeks for our kits, so I would imagine the same for them. I think the TQ version is coming with some more anodizing.
