What with it being the season of goodwill and all that, I've decided to state my hatred for Xmas and all that comes with it. I hate having to deal with all the happy bastards at work, ringing up to order their stupidly expensive bikes for their unappreciative partners/kids/parents. I had a guy order online but got his own address wrong, so I rang to speak to him and got his wife, told her who I was and that I was calling about her helmet order, then got in trouble for ruining her xmas surprise! P**s off. Who buys their wife a cycle helmet for xmas anyway? And if its such a big surprise why put her name downin the contact box?

I am sick of seeing stupid lights on peoples houses, and driving slowly because sad muppets are driving at walking pace looking at said stupid lights. Fed up of seeing winos dressed as a fat burglar in a red suit just for an excuse to have kids on thier laps. Fed up of hearing that toothless bastard pogue git wailing on the radio (don't mind mariah though.....).

To take the absolute p**s now the local council have decided to take it upon themselves to hold a "late night shopping fayre" in the village, closing it completely. I have never heard of a late night shopping fayre, nor know what this has to do with xmas? This means I cant get near my house, and there is currently a ferris wheel full of happy, smug little children in our car park, and some giant teacups in the spot where my transit van should be.

Great.

Merry fricking xmas everyone.

MatJohnson 08-12-2009 02:14 PM

Nice rant that one, I'd give it 8/10

DaveM 08-12-2009 02:19 PM

Do some people think the world is going to end at/after Christmas? I mean I go to buy some normal packet bead, and find the shelves empty?

Then notice people with dozens of loaves in their trolley 'just' because of Xmas. WTF?

Dont even get me started at the Xmas sales that start midnight on the 25th ?????

Ha yes so true. Which reminds me of another thing I hate, Boxing day sales. People sleeping outside shops to get cheap sofas. Ever heard of Ikea? It's cheap there every day....... and they serve meatballs. Enough said.

I am not normally this miserable by the way

bodgit 08-12-2009 04:05 PM

Im with the codpiece on this one. I hate xmass too. Bloody so called family who,m you,ve not seen for 12 months all expecting you to drop what your doing and visit them bringing gifts. Why?? I cant stand my wifes family one little bit and have not been near them for the last 6 years and let them know it too. I dont even buy my wife a present and havent for at least ten years.
Isnt it right that some pc council on religious grounds want to call it Winter Wonderland Time now to please the non british minority.
F*** xmass its no different to any othe time of year especially if your not a religious freak.
I needed that rant

 Jelous?

Yoldume 08-12-2009 05:07 PM

I also dissaprove of christmas, im never allowed to ask for what i actually want for christmas or have any say in what i do on christmas day

i always piss my mum off because i dont help my brother put his mountain of wrapping paper rubbish in the bin quick enough for everyone to see what his next massive present is

im always skint and have a hard time earning the money to then spend on other people (im a student i do have a job and no i dont spend it all on alchohol) i also hate the fact everyone else gets what they want and i always get money socks or boxers

then when i do finally get to spend my money on what i atctually want everyone critisices

and as councils go they have closed my street while they FAFF building a roundabout for six months and over the christmas period or since they closed it nothing has happened its been shut for a month meaning every van or car that used to go past my house now goes ROUND my house

and to add WHY do people go to the supermarket at half five in the morning ? i was at work for five and there they werequed up outside to buy fifteen loafes of bread before they go cold and a trolley full of salmon that goes out of date in three days ?
