SRCC GP - 3rd June

Hi all, the SRCC GP will be held on the 3rd of June, pre booking is a must for this event using the clubs new booking in feature.

Both classes will be catered for, 2wd and 4wd.

This is your chance to practise for our national in August.

PaulRotheram 18-05-2007 08:23 PM

*bump* anyone else interested? bit of practise for the national wont do anyone harm!!

PaulRotheram 27-05-2007 08:47 PM

*double bump*

booking in to start at 10 this sunday, racing to hopefulyl start at 11.

any one got some ideas for a different running of the meeting, different form of qualifying, maybe a fun race after one of the rounds etc?

i was thinking a sort of special stage would be good..?

Stu 28-05-2007 11:36 AM

Run the track anti-clockwise Paul. I'll be there early - we'll spend a bit of time and come up with a really fresh layout. I have some ideas allready, it just depends how radical I'm allowed to be?

burgie 30-05-2007 09:28 PM

stu - you can be as "radical" as you want to be.

the problem is that there are areas of the track that we can't run due to wear and tear of those sections, and we are "resting" those areas.

other than that, please fee free to help lay the track out! :)

Chrislong 30-05-2007 09:34 PM

Paul,
How about 4 rounds of qualifying, and 2 legged finals (all of them) and its a combo of both final positions gets end position???

Spencer Mulcahy 30-05-2007 11:29 PM

Top idea Chris :)

PaulRotheram 01-06-2007 05:00 PM

ill have a word with race control on sunday morning to see if its possible to do it on the system.

Colinevan 01-06-2007 05:46 PM

Also for a bit of fun, how about a 30 car fun race lol.. just make sure there no crystal clashes lol:p:p:p:p:p.

Lastly, paul can you confirm that you have me booked in. I never got an auto reply to confirm.

Thanks.

Col.

Colinevan 01-06-2007 05:48 PM

Obvoiusly it sounds mad, but does anyone like the idea lol???

I know it couldnt be timed, bit im sure you would have a vague idea on how you did result wise lol.

burgie 01-06-2007 08:43 PM

Colin.....

are you really being serious?

Open practice is a bad enough idea in my eyes.

PaulRotheram 01-06-2007 09:15 PM

everyone who entered is a confirmed entry, i've not the time to go through them all and reply individualy due to way the entry form is set up, and my lifestyle.:( in future i'll try to get a confirmation feature implemented as the pre booking has been a good success.

30 car race? whered the drivers drive from? :p , but keep suggestions coming - just not as mad as that.

Last years relay race seemed to be good, a race after every round with an expert, intermediate and novice in each team. but somthing new would be cool.

i'm still open to realistic ideas for an extra somthing through the day to add to the fun factor.

DanW 01-06-2007 09:21 PM

How about some RC car rope pulling!

RLGfx 02-06-2007 01:45 PM

Kopite 02-06-2007 01:55 PM

starkers! that'd be....distracting :o

Spencer Mulcahy 02-06-2007 07:00 PM

Well no room on the rostrum, but if we all had 6ft of string attaching our trannies to our cars, and had to run with the cars.... the possibilities are endless. :D

Good day today me thinks, shame about the last final though, i thought running two finals would of been ace, the weather didnt help towards mid way of the first leg finals.
the bj4 was cool today.. i'm happy with it.. shame i couldnt get the b4 sorted.. still some major problems with that.

I found some bad ass, very offensive with the ability to scare children tyres in the 2wd A main.

i must say.. it kicked ass! i had a play afterward and it made my day, very cool indeed! stu has some pics of it i hope.

These tyres were banned in 1993 due to being a hazzard to public safety.... :)

Just out of interest - can anyone name them?

And I don't mean call them fecking 'Barry'.

Nah, that'd be silly, I was thinking of Ursula and Betty up front, and Harry and Garry at the rear.... but defo' not Barry, that'd just be someone being silly.

Weather?! Did you have bad weather??

Maan, you lot need to start running meetings in the northeast! Today in Durham was sunshine all day (I'm fried in rather comical places / patterns), when Bury Metro regional was on and raining we had glorious sunshine. Same for Kidderminster's cancelled regional. And during Kidderminster National... we only had light drizzle towards the end of the day!!

PaulRotheram 03-06-2007 08:39 PM

i prefer the west rain or shine ;)
