hazzelarator 18-12-2009 05:42 PM

Shifta 11-01-2010 06:38 PM

Is round 2 still on this weekend? Is there an entry list?

Yellow mini spikes work well

hazzelarator 12-01-2010 12:21 AM

Hi mate, yes round 2 is still on this weekend! The first round on the 'dirt' too. I've collected the rope to make the track today from Gary and it's all looking good! I'm leaving the surface packed and ungraded so it will be harder that last year so tyre choice may be different than last year but only time will tell! Hope to see a good turn out. Cheers

Winter Weather

what's it like at the moment with the snow & roads for getting to the venue?

b4pete 13-01-2010 08:35 PM

Will my car get covered in horse shite?

hazzelarator 13-01-2010 10:54 PM

Chequered flag: the roads are not an issue, it's less than a mile from the a1 so no issue there! The venue is obviously not heated but were all men? So no issues there either ; )

B4pete: yes car will get caked in hoss shite upto the axles, I've specially imported loads of shit to make the jumps and landings! No I'm sure there are traces of shit in the surface but rest assured there will be no steaming turds on the apexs of the corners! ; )

Now matey, apparently there isnt a post code but Harry V gave me this 1 NE61 6EH that post code gets you to the correct turnoff from the A1

Gaz

hazzelarator 16-01-2010 07:23 PM

Hi guys sorry, just got back from Autosport show! There is 240V in the arena, however you will need to bring extensions etc.

As Gary Sais postcode to the correct junction off A1 works but after this follow signs for Netherton park and after you go over 1 speed bump its next left!

Unfortunately the burger van has had to cancel  so bring your own food and drinks too.

Any other questions feel free to ask away on here and Il get back to them asap this evening!
cheers
and see you all tomorrow

Barry Williams 17-01-2010 08:23 PM

Had a great day today at Stannington.
Thanks to Harry & Bill, I think it is an excellent venue, surface very reminiscent of Tiverton indoor venue.
Great racing today, the 4wd A final was really good to watch.
Hope the next meeting there doesn't clash with anything else we have pre-booked for as don't want to miss it.
Well done lads

Barry

gazbaz2 17-01-2010 09:55 PM

Yeah spot on day, great track good close racing well done Harry and Bill, thought you did a great job cant wait till the next meeting, oh and no horse poo, class lol

Gaz

b4pete 17-01-2010 09:59 PM

LOL!! Glad there was no poop! I couldnt come due to my stupid wife letting my son burn himself on her hair straightners!

hazzelarator 17-01-2010 10:05 PM

Cheers to everyone who came & had a good day today, for the next round Im hoping to make a much longer track and have some propper jumps built ready to use! Thanx to Bill for running the event too! Out of interest who found what tyres to be the best?

dpackster1980 17-01-2010 10:05 PM

Today was excellent, it's a quality venue.

The surface is brilliant and really weird at the same time. I had no tyre wear and there was loads of grip.

Defiantely can't wait to go again.

I ran Schumacher Mini Spike yellows all day they were good for me

baD 18-01-2010 12:32 AM

Really enjoyed running it and driving today, despite needing a set of Pack tyres. In fact any set of newish tyres would have been a good start.
Sorry about forgotten printer everyone.

Great surface, great venue - thx Harry

racdeaf 18-01-2010 08:15 AM

yep it was a smashing day
full set of yellow mini spike is spot on around the track

Roll on to the next round

chrispattinson 18-01-2010 02:21 PM

Good to hear it was a good days racing.

I'm looking forward to attending the next round at Stanington. Who won??

I almost came over on Sunday to run 2WD, but B4 shocks needed doing, new seals, wishbones, rear blocks etc..... so Ill get it all prepped for next time.

baD 18-01-2010 04:50 PM

who won ?

see Post #25

Shifta 18-01-2010 05:39 PM

Had a really fun day and some super close racing..

In practce full spikes did the trick but no good once there was a racing line!
After that I tried new Schumi yellow mini spikes and Ballistic green mini spikes and found there was not a lot of difference at all, the only thing was yellows didn't clog up at all.

Hope I can make the next one

They were f**king w*nk! Only good for 2 corners and then they get clogged up!!!!!

Yellows were good in the final but shame I only put softer springs on after the final when we were practicing, what a pleb.

I have my setup now and I'm gonna win!!

pete 19-01-2010 08:16 PM

Haha, bring it on packster! Going to have my prototype inside of wheel pooper scoopers fitted at the next one!!

Had a wicked day. The racing was awesome. really good venue and some top notch driving. what more could you want?

gazbaz2 19-01-2010 10:32 PM
