Petit RC - Who is racing what?

As I've booked into Petit with a friend over the weekend I thought I'd pose the question of what are your running?

Myself at the moment

2WD - XXCR (unless I get a B4 for the event)
4WD - Cat SX :)

Belsten 30-11-2009 10:15 AM

b4 & b44

SimonW 30-11-2009 10:22 AM

Kyosho RB5 and ZX5-FS.

burgie 30-11-2009 10:25 AM

I'm not sure if racing is the correct terminology, but I will be in attendance attempting to get my X6 and X11-08 around the track.

I have a long and proud history of being last qualifier at events such as these and I am hoping to carry on that tradition.

Now there's a challenge! The race for last place is ON!

Alfonzo 30-11-2009 11:31 AM

Pete - pretty sure there are spaces. Book in, it's a great event.

I'll be racing my trusty and battered B4 & X10.

Battle_axe 30-11-2009 11:38 AM

i may have to get down there if my xxx4 gets here and built in time

And that's why I have entered. Spent lots of money on a hobby I love and it's time I get beaten elsewhere! Only ever raced at Titchfield (well I don't count a trip to a Tony Evoka event 16 years ago or so with my Cougar 2000)

Cool.

(Thinks long and hard about the XXCR now... )

If I get stuck with setup on my Cat SX I'll ask for help.. Losi XXCR mmm that'll be a bit more difficult

I'm looking forward to seeing different machinery such as Predator, X5 & Durangos etc.

andy reeves 30-11-2009 05:12 PM

B4 and Cat SX for me:thumbsup:

Welshy40 30-11-2009 05:35 PM

Guys, im not in the competition for last place as i know i wont be that low down, however when at the event come over to the pit area that has a green bodyshell with a red dragon on and let me know what heats your in, as i will be up for a giggle as well as supporting you guys for the last place.

b4pete 30-11-2009 08:59 PM

Im there :D
BJ4, but will be there all weekend.
Do they have a raffle like at the players? (as it sounded mint!) lol

showtime 30-11-2009 09:17 PM

Kev Lee was bottom qualifier in 2wd last year if i remember rightly :woot:

yes there should be a raffle, there was one last time

Must have broken something.....

So petit produces lots of breakages?

that puts me off running a xxcr

showtime 30-11-2009 09:40 PM

can't say why Kev was down there, think he'd just had a bad day.
it happens

as for broken bits the track wasn't necessarily a car breaker & there's no reason to think this years track will be!
i broke my car trying to do the impossible & stuck it hard into a brick wall

other than that we had no probs at all

mikeyscott 30-11-2009 09:43 PM

What motors do people run? I've got a X11 7.5 in the XXCR and a Losi 7.5 in the cat SX

WUSS. 7.5?????

5.5 is the only way to go in 2wd.

thinking about it, there-in could be the reason for so many last places!

Welshy, I will come and introduce myself, it will be fun to see a bodyshell painted up with my mother-in-law's portrait!!

I am really looking forward to this event now. Where is everybody staying?

Think I'll stick with my 7.5! ;)

The cars go nicely with the 7.5s

Got an offer of someones floor (DC's), but comfort in the hotel seems tempting at the moment. The one on Petit's site.
