To be honest mate MK have been nothing else but perfect for me, your problem is the first I have heard from dealing with him. Did you ring and speak to him direct or email him saying you needed the parts for Sunday?? I find phoning is best when you need stuff urgently. Your local postal service could be at fault too.... I doubt the blame lies solely with MK....

Richard Lowe 14-11-2009 01:22 PM

Agreed give them a call, Marc will sort you out :)

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:24 PM

I placed the order by phone. Luckily the postal service in my area is spot-on. There is nothing they can do now as I needed the gear for tomorrow. I even asked them if it was in time for next-day delivery!

poopers 14-11-2009 01:25 PM

I’ve used MK a fair bit and they’ve always been super fast.

Might be the courier service that’s got the problem. I’m stuck in the same boat (though different shop). Took Friday off for a parcel that never arrived, and is currently sitting in a depot in Sheffield. Waiting sucks.

Sorry to hear that this has not arrived, it was sent on Thursday by Royal Mail 1st class post, you asked if your were in time for it to leave that day & it did, you only paid for 1st class not carrier.

Most of the time Royal Mail gets to customers next day. Please feel free to call me at the shop if you want to discuss this.

Marc

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:29 PM

Theres nowt you can do for me now. I told you I needed it next day, you should have sent it guarantee'd next day. Hope someone has some spares tomorrow or im knackered!

I don't want to get into a slagging match on a public forum, as i said, Royal Mail shoud have got to you at the latest today, I do charge more for Carrier delivery. I said when you place the order that it would be sent bu Royal Mail 1st class.

Marc

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:39 PM

No slagging, you should have sent it Guaranteed, you knew my requirements, even if it cost me more.

Thanks for wrecking my weekend.

Ben Turner 14-11-2009 01:46 PM

Mate, if you appoached this with a different attitude then maybe you might be able to find someone who can help you out and may have the parts you need with them on Sunday. Slating someone on a public forum like this wont help things.

I dont think you could be more wrong or out of order. Why should a shop spend more to get parts to you that you ordered late? A shop owner tells you its going out 1st class its your risk, if you want carrier delivery then its down to you to request that. If I need something next day then I pay for that service, courier service.

And just because the post is working in your area, it doesnt mean they are up to date at every depo across the country. And then to open a thread like this is so out of order is unreal!?!?! Marc has never let me down, and he offers a courier service for ruch orders, its down to you if you pay for that or take the risk of royal mail. 1st class should have easily reached you by now, call royal mail, blame them as its their fault, nothing to do with MK Racing.

You wrecked your own weekend.

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:51 PM

Sorry that was meant to say, 'even if it cost me more'

And Kifogrande, notice CML in your signature, dont even get me started on them.

poopers 14-11-2009 01:51 PM

I had a whole speech ready but Kifogrande said it better than me

Thats a bit much, sounds like MK did everything asked of them while trying to keep your postage cost down ;)

Kifogrande 14-11-2009 01:51 PM

Wow! Your bang out of order mate. I'm getting out of this one right now.

shaun m 14-11-2009 01:52 PM

are you certain that its not a problem with royal mail , the amount of times i have been let down by royal fail ,

twice with orders ( other shops ) ive paid an extra £6 -£8 for a next day service and its taken 2-3 days . when even on the tracking slip it says it was dispatched on the day they said they would :o... royal mail suck

its no longer like 1st class is 1-2 days its more like 3-5 days ...

i get quite alot of bits from mkracing , microtech ,and bmm and to be honest i have nothing but praise's for them ..:wub

its just a few of the other well known shops tend to let me down ,with sending it out later than what they said .........

Welshy40 14-11-2009 01:54 PM

Mark is a top banana and is a strong possibility that the postal service is playing catch up after the idiots went on strike. Mark has never let me down and his customer service skills are excellent. Its always best to call the shop up first and find out when they posted it before letting rip.

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:55 PM

I didnt let rip, simply posted up some FACTS

As i said above, it is not me who has wrecked your weekend, it is Royal Mail!!! I had the parts in stock & sent them that day, I remember you placing the order as you did not want a receipt sent in with the order & you only asked if they would go that day as you needed for the weekend, that was Thursday & like I said before, it should have got to you Friday/Saturday.

Marc

The only fact you failed to meantion is the FACT that the only guilty parties here are you and royal mail.

b4pete 14-11-2009 02:00 PM

Well. learning curve, if someone asks for something for the weekend, tell them they need to pay four a courier, I manage a business that sends out 100's of parcels every day and only guarantee next day with a courier, if they dont want to pay, you cant guarantee it.
Sorry if it sounded like I was having a go, but im sure you can understand my frustration

Please lock this thread, thanks

Thanks

bigchris 14-11-2009 02:01 PM

+1 on Mk racing's service... i have nothing but good things to say.

raymondkerr 14-11-2009 02:01 PM

I deal with MK Racing a fair bit and i have always received A1 service, mostly next day all the time. Although I did also place a small order on Thursday and haven't received it yet, but I don't blame Marc for this. Royal Mail suck big time in my area. I guess I'll get the stuff on monday which is fine for me.

I think to start blaming MK on a public forum is a bit harsh. I agree with the comments above, if you were that desperate for the parts, you should have either ordered them earlier in the week, or requested courier and paid extra.

MK Racing are one of the best shops in the country and I have used many in the past, and MK come out on top every time.

Stay out of this, its nothing to do with you. I was looking at getting a bodyshell of you, not now!!

Rich D 14-11-2009 02:03 PM

MK have always been good with me too - never had to chase a thing. I know that if i want something next day then i request it on Special Delivery at about 3 times the price. I dont think its commonplace to have it offered to you each time you place an order - no matter what shop you order from.

I understand your frustration but its really not the fault of MK is it ! ? :o

Rich

Kifogrande 14-11-2009 02:03 PM

Well now you put it like that I really cant understand your frustration. If you send out that many things a day you should also know better?

On a side note, hes asked me everytime when i need stuff for, everytime! And if I say I need it next day he sends it courier.

Its hard to stay out of things when I think people are being unreasonable.

Exactly, he never said 'I can only Guarantee next day if you pay for courier'

b4pete 14-11-2009 02:06 PM

Great way of promoting your business with an attitude like that! (Rich D)

Rich D 14-11-2009 02:07 PM

The shells and his service promote themselves - nuff said. Not only that, perhaps your not in the best position to be advising on attitudes and public conduct Pete

I only do what I am asked to do, maybe I miss understood when you called & apologize for this, all I remember was you asking if they would go out that day & they did.

Most people who order a low value order do not want to pay £5.95 for next day delivery, if you had placed the order on-line, the site would have given you the option for Royal Mail Special Delivery.

If you do not need the parts when they arrive, if you have to buy them at the meeting, please return them & I will give you a full refund.

Thank you to every one else for the kind words, I do try my best but know I can not please everyone.....

Marc

It didn’t sound like you were having a go, you were having a go, unnecessarily, hence everyones’ response.

If it was so urgent why, at any point, did you not request a courier, or when MK confirmed delivery would be RM, did you not ask for a courier instead.

Also, as I can attest, “guaranteed” next day delivery, rarely guarantees next day delivery.

ryan 14-11-2009 02:25 PM

PeteB4 -

I think everything you have said in this thread has been completely out of order, how can you blame MK Racing for the postal service you asked for?

Surely you must no that first class post is not ensured to be with you next day, especilly with all the postal strikes and back orders that have been occuring recently?

I cant see how you can blam MK for this, if you needed the parts next day, you would of asked for next day delivery?

I have dealed with MK Racing in the past many times, and have been more than reasonable every time and with a very fast service and RELIABLE!

And for slagging a business of on a public forum, before you have spoken to MK or trying to sort out the issue, must sum you up fairly well!!

Rant over...

b4pete 14-11-2009 02:29 PM

Christ, some people are easily upset. People dont read things properly. There are two sides to everyones story. M K's responses have been fair enough, thread over.

Thread.....OVER!

karlst 14-11-2009 03:00 PM

i have used MK a fair few times, only ever got good service, sometimes it dont come next day but i wouldnt go blaming the shop for that.

And trust me starting a topic on a public forum like this does not work out in your favour, and when i say trust me i mean it, i have done it before and fell out with alot of people, but never again....

i dont reckon Kifopaint will miss your order either fella.
