ledgend car :D My old TC3 with a 200mm body lol 3 screws to hold the wing on! :D |
2 of my favourites.
a Jimmy oOple special http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/kiddy...s/kiddy08.html and a G-ForceImages one http://www.doughtyuk.net/mkportal/fi...lery/a_199.jpg |
Feel free to post images in the thread if you want btw, they wont break the tables for much longer (they will be auto-resized down) so go for it..
The one of my photos of your car from kiddy is one of my favourites, that and the similar one of crees car. |
This is one of my favourites, from early 2003 just before the rc10B4 was available, the 3 drivers in the lead here are cragg, bradby and bailey all driving the B4 and an entire field of losi XXX cars chasing.
The XXX was almost the only car used at batley before the B4 came out, now the B4 is almost the only car used!.. come on losi! |
Bradders beat Craggy that day (that's Bradders in front), and I'mstill using his silver shell on my B4 as I'm too lazy to get my own done! :)
|
:o
Thats a confession and a half is that! thats like, umm, almost 3 years ! you must drive well if your shell is still in one peice! |
My personal fave of Jimmy's pics is this one from the Junior Nationals at batley last year. My son is WAY off line, but still giving it maximum attack - that's my boy!

My CAT 3000 last outdoor race of 2004. Mere milliseconds later I tapped the brakes and landed perfectly on the downslope ( really, I did !! ) forgot who took the pic, so apologies there. Not the greatest pic ever, well I did zoom in a lot, but brings back great memories of the "crazy Scottish guy with the 2 stick radio and the Schumacher car" out jumping even some of the 8th scale guys ! |
Those last 2 are both great pics, darryl getting mauled (they just loved your academy).
If thats what tracks in canada are like, I best hurry and get over there, looks great.:) |

This photo was taken by Beau Long at the RC Pro Series Eastern Division, Round 3 at the Farm 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I qualified for the 30 minute A-main. I knew I had no chance to beat the few fast/pro/factory guys, so I told them all that no matter what I would take the hole shot. There were 15 Unlimited MT's in a starting gate that opened to a 200 ft straight away. I TOOK the Holeshot, got a trophy and $25 ....LOL :) I came in 7th place after my body came off and I had to make an extra pit to fix it. I didn't want to be DQ'd. Otherwise, I had 5th place in the bag. http://www.tony1034.com/ts/holeshot.jpg Tony P. |
haha, now THATS an ace photo
|
indeed, there is a lot going on in that picture, looks very dynamic :D I like it.

Like that pic, its a little underexposed though - hope you dont mind but I just adjusted the levels in photoshop quickly, just thought it would show people what a difference it makes. It's a very quick adjustment but makes the images pop out more, especially if they are a bit dark.

Took this at the julniors in 2003, using a very basic compact. The full size image does look better than this I have to add.
Since then I've taken better but this was the one that made me want to take better (maybe only Jimmy will fully get where I'm coming from). http://www.northernracer.com/worksop.jpg |
Some pics I took with my D50

OK these are not of RC cars, but they are some of the best ones i have taken. And for some reason bikes always look better than cars ?.
http://www.gforceimages.net/gallery/...c/_P9Z2208.jpg http://www.gforceimages.net/gallery/...c/_P9Z4143.jpg |
Nice ! I'd like to take some shots like that some day, I literally only take photos of rc cars. Motorcross looks ace to photograph
|
Bikes are so much more 'dynamic' than cars, I prefer watching them, riding them, working on them, far FAR more fun.
|
I wont post them up since I don't want to steal someone elses thunder (publishers) but I really liked some Truggy photos I got recently. Those things, and indeed any such large mad things are ace to take photos of, they are SO dynamic, balooning tyres, soft suspension, loose surfaces, mega power, smoke etc etc, all makes for great action.
Hence my desire to get some photos of other big wheelers like the 5b |

Steve, as you say i think as you can see the rider it just looks better than a driver inside a car etc. |
I know what you are saying Stu, This is probably the image that made me want to take it more seriously, similar basic camera (compared to now) - Still, sometimes it can get a bit serious with this huge camera.
