Surface is a blue Badminton court type. I think they run on similar at Don Valley.

No additive allowed for now - if we find that there are grip issues then we will source some carpet, but we are going to try this surface first.

Just picked up the AMB system last night, so timing system is sorted. We have 10 handout transponders and the system supports PTs.

Also grabbed a ton of road rail so track markings are pretty much sorted. We will be knocking some temporary jumps together for the off-roaders this coming week and then improving them over the coming weeks.

Hope to see lots of you there. First meeting is Monday 16th November.

Will put some pics up on the Roundabout Raceway section later (when I get to the shop). Only a couple of pics at the moment as I was more panicking about running the 1st event that night. It'll give you a good idea of the size of the venue though.

Dave I'm intereted in coming along next time - I would try with a B4. Just out of interest what tyres would you suggest mini-pins yellow?

The 2WDs found it difficult with the lack of grip at the 1st meeting.

Once we treat the surface for the next one I reckon yellow mini-pins will be a good choice.

TonyM 19-11-2009 11:21 AM

OK thanks - would you suggest then 4WD (B44) to be more appropriate?

Gibbon666 19-11-2009 11:26 AM

4WD will be easier if our plan for more grip doesn't work.

Or you could race both classes - it's only an extra £1 to race a 2nd class.

TonyM 19-11-2009 11:30 AM

OK thanks - will give it a try.
