Leggard I think it is, who's in the box with Martin, is it me, or can he not say the word "FORMULA" :confused: Fairly important when your commentating on F1! :woot:

At least Martin talks more than the first few GPs. Jonathan gets a little over excited some times and IMHO fails to see the bigger picture.

That said, Eddie Jordan is a PITA. I nearly hailed a tirade of expletives during qualifying this evening - managed to hold back when I saw my four year old staring at me with a perplexed look on his face as I was about to shout at the TV again!

I think Eddie Jordan is tv gold!! Imagine how dull and boring it would be if we had 2 David Coulthard types instead. With Eddie and DC i think they have a good balance. But as for Jonathon Leggard, he doesn't seem to know what hes talking about most the time, does anyone know what he's done before??

I agree, we only need Brundle to comentate, he is pretty clued up with how its all panning out, the other random doesn't even have a clue about pit-stops... though he might be OK next year :woot:

Yep tired of hearing Leggard saying “round the corner up / down the hill”, and his constant shock that cars with heaver fuel loads (Button) are slower than those without (Barrichello).

I reckon it should be Brundle and Ben Edwards commentating.

Brundle / Anthony Davidson, he is brilliant on the praccy sessions comentry

Well hopefully Davidson will have a race seat next year...

that would be cool, mic him up and get him reporting from inside the car! :thumbsup:

yeah im with you on the Davidson replacing Johnathan Leggard

if you watch the F1 via the redbutton you can change the comentry- or turn it off :):)

It needs 2 comentaters while one is talking brundle would be looking at the data screens to give us the facts.
I would really like to see Murrray Walker back for the last race. Say what you want about him but HE is MR FORMULA 1 its not the same without him.

He's 86 now though :( Unfortunately i just don't see how he could do it at that age.... not live anyway.

I think Davidson is awesome too, in fact yeah Ben Edwards is also really good - i watched the Practise session on Saturday and thought they were a really good combination

I love Brundle's commentary but agree Leggard isn't the best.... Even I feel like i spot things way before he has - Brundle is always spot on though, glad the BBC gave him a job and also got rid of Mark Blundell haha.

I agree with that, but I would prefer silence right now while Brundle checks data instead of that Murry wanna-be.

The online/Five Live commentary is David Croft and Ant Davidson.

The best bit about Ant is that he has only been out of a F1 car for a couple of years so is well up on the tech, knowledge, etc.

Ben Edwards was good on Eurosport (?) I think. To me Jonathan Leggard should be commentating on horse racing!

It would not surprise me if changes are made for next year.

Crofty and Ant are my choices every F1 weekend. Red Button FTW. Crofty knows just how to handle situations, and spot strategies, and has a great banter with Ant.

Legard just sounds too posh for F1, and is totally scared of not saying anything for more than 5 seconds.

Ben Edwards is a fantastic BTCC commentator, and I want him staying there. :D

Some sort of Le Mans marathon coverage would be epic with that bunch. :)

All saying, I think the coverage this year has been far FAR better than ITV last year.... NO ADVERTS and plenty of time given to the sport!

The F1 Forum after each race is worth the license fee alone. :thumbsup:

especially when the BrawnGP team are going mental in the background, I was laughing a lot at their chanting.

and then also how crazy the interview with Jenson was, manic! :woot:

I thought Jake was about to smack somebody when they were interviewing JB at the end, and did you see how unimpressed DC looked when EJ was singing and jumping up and down? :lol::lol:

Not bothered with Leggard for ages, I switch to Croft and Davidson on the red button as soon as the commentary starts before the race. Only problem is that it keeps on going over to football or cricket scores every so often - even then there's always the CBBC commentary:lol:.

The thing is with Leggard is that he is still commentating as if he was on radio, thats why you get the 'up the hill, round the bend' style of commetary.
But yeah he does sound like a horse racing comentator.
Maybe next year he will losen up a bit.

I'd love to see the guys that do moto gp for eurosport doing F1, but that will never happen! lol
But deffo get Ant in, if he doesn't have a drive next year, but something makes me think that he will. So other than that, one of the fri/sat guys.

Do remember though, what we had before!!:o Even Leggard is better than James Allen!!
