I am new, and am thinking of joining in
hello people
been reading through bits and peices and all it has done is made me want to join in :woot: i race mardaves, light touring cars (used to be pretty good too) and the rc bug has bitten again this winter, plus i only live in ashford so not a million miles away now, what works that is cheap, i assume i cant run my traxxas slash (still want to race that somewhere) i do have a couple of 4wd buggies, however one is an origanal release hotshot and the other is a schumacher procat (also have some TL-01 Buggies, but they dont really count) looks like you all run schumacher yellow pins and 27t stock/13.5 which is nice as i have loads of decent speedo's and good lipo's suppose the best thing to do is turn up and have a look one week, can try and get the pro cat running and take that (if it takes a lipo that is) keep it real Ian |
welcome ian,
i am new also, only done one wednesday night, well not even that really, the motor packed up :lol: i am hoping to get along again wednesday night so may meet up with you there, i beleive you know steve smith anyway. Karl |
Would be great to see you there:thumbsup:. Don't hesitate to come and have a chat one weds, its a very friendly club. The Pro Cat im sure would still go round ok so dig the old beast out.
Hope to see you soon, Dave Ps, the tyres you need are the yellow full spikes. |
Hi Ian,
I don`t know if you remember me it`s Brett Hope, I raced a Brushless Mardave aginst you a few times at Maritime. I race at Faversham every Wednesday and there is a winter series starting very soon.. Its definately worth coming along to have a look  It`s a very friendly club and a mixture of all abilities. Some people race old buggies, or you don`t have to spend a fortune on a second hand buggy. The good thing is once your set up it is very cheap to race. Tyres last months  |
yeah baby dig the pro cat out what a machine yeah come down, you should be able to get both the saddle lipos and the stick lipos in the pro as the belt runs under the chassis and a both 27t and brushless gear should fit fine how i would love an old beast to open a can of wooparse with.
stu rand:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: |

cant believe none of you saw the vintage offroad tamiya from the 80's
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l3...d/101_3322.jpg update on the pro cat, i gutted my old xray t1 fk and shoved it all into the cat, am quite impressed with the install, and it sure rips along the carpet quite well http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l3...y/101_3324.jpg so, if the shell for it that i ordered turns up i might be able to have a race with you lot heres hoping |
Hi Ian!
Looks like im gonna be racing you on Tuesdays and Wednesdays then fella! Favers is a proper good laugh of a weds evening. Ive only done 3 nights so far but love it. Atmosphere is fantastic Steve (Smudge on Doverbashers) |
well, it is built, painted the shell drov it round the road, and goes, stops the works
only issue is i have no tyres with any tread on but i will come along and have a look none the less see you later Ian |
Ian, i`ve got some old Schuey Yellow Full spikes you can borrow if you want.
Not loads of tread but will be fine to have a play. |
old girl doesn't like pillars!
Ian, Sorry to see the procat introduce itself into the pillar, yesterday!
If you want a temporary replacement you are welcome to use my XX4. Andy |

well i am now the proud owner of gordons old baldric, must say i am very impressed, and i havent even driven it yet, spent a long time last night making all the wires to the speedocorrect, installing all the other bits, and then winding the misses up at half 10 by reving it up, cant wait till next wednesday, especially after seeing the track last night
bring it on Ian |
Cool! See you there fella .

OK, so my first time wasnt great, trying to juggle mardaves buggys and a mk1 escort on a crappy budget, well a few months ago i sold all my rc cars (except my slash)the mk1 escort is now tucked up for more work to be done and have been rc free ever since
i am now bored and want to try off road again saw that this weekend the BRCA south east 2wd is comming to you guys, and that my friend is attending in his short course truck, so want to start there, what is the story with it as cant find any info about it? then i need to find a buggy cant wait |
