duratrax truck plz help me out
 

does anybody know about this truck ? all my other trucks and buggy are 48pitch and the pinion gears . and i dont know alot about this truck at all . somebody must have 1 somewere that can help me out with the spur gears and pinion gear . all my other buggy are b4. madrat, bandit vxl ; and 7 trucks all the pinion gear are the same for each of my cars plz . help me out thanks

Does the spur look different to your many other cars, ie are the teeth further/closer apart??????????????????????????????????????????

i have try different pinion gear on it . it was a new spur gear .and i need a new spur gear now? i dont know what pinion gear they are

So you've bought a new spur gear? Use the same pinion as before if the spur is the same size as the old one.

Do the intructions tell you what pitch the gearing is ?

it was a new spur gear the pinion that i was using rw pinion gear. and i now i need another spur gear. i think it a special pinion gear but not sure as all my other trucks and buggy are 48 pitch.

Look at the pictures of spur gears above, which one does it look like? Sounds like it's 64dp.

i will have coumting how many teeth on the spur gear and try and find a pinion gear its for bashing esc is mamba castle and 9 turn motor using 7.4v lipo to 11.1v

You can't run a 48dp pinion with a 64dp spur gear or the other way around for that matter.

Thats 48dp so you will be ok to use the RW pinion you already own.

the guy who got it off said i need this spur gear dtxc8350 and a pinion gear to for it as well

If you look at the list above that spur isn't on it. As Nige said you will have to email CML.

All the spurs begin with a 3 on the part number list on the previous page. The pitch refers to the diametric pitch (dp) on a spur, for Duratrax they are either 48 or 64dp.

Please email CML they WILL help you out.

the teeth are small on them some i think i should get the duratrax pinion gear 48 pitch pinion gears as my did not work with it. so they must make 1 to fit the spur thanks guys

got the part numbers off the duratrax website i sent you the link with the instructions on

you can only run brushed sytem in them which is why the spur gear keep going

Why do brushed systems chew up the spur gears more often?

nope you can run either brushed or brushless

the gears will not take the power of a brushless they was made for brushed have a look on youtube it rips the gear out with brushless when put a bit of power it sound bad rips the spur gear for fun . the slipper disc wear down too quick

Put a slower brushless motor in??? A brushed motor is as quick as a brushless of comparable wind.

cml will know if you can turn it brushless but need strong gear in the gearbox stronger diff gear ect
i tryed a 10.5 turn too much power . if i cannot turn it brushless i will be selling it

You can run brushless...

diff the problem not strong and the spur rips the teeth off for fun

A fast brushed motor would do the same though.

Simon.... Brushless motors are just the same as brushed, power wise. Brushless is just more efficient!

have you got any esc for a 10 turn motor james plz

If you are talking a 10 turn brushed that will kill the gearbox if a 10 turn brushless does. ;)
