jimmy 03-04-2007 03:05 PM

Greg Williams

_sleigh_ 03-04-2007 03:19 PM

Do we have many U16 drivers anymore??

I'd go for Greg too

Lee 03-04-2007 03:21 PM

What ever happened to Luke sanders he was meant to be the next star a few years ago

emzy 03-04-2007 03:29 PM

He went onto snorers for a bit I think, or nitro snorers... then disappeared!

Or something like that?

I'm putting my money on Greg :D

Lee 03-04-2007 03:41 PM

yeah i remember him coming over to TC for a bit when i was with schuey but he wasn`t that quick

Oscar 03-04-2007 04:20 PM

What about Tom Moore ??
He's improved a lot over the last year or so.

jimmy 03-04-2007 04:32 PM

Certainly, Tom is capable of going really well. Ben Jemison also can go pretty quick. There are probably a few.

Northy 03-04-2007 04:36 PM

Greg :)

tc2k 03-04-2007 04:55 PM

Greg Williams and James Shanley from our club

HEHE im going to try real hard this year and practise loads and my aim is to go for junior champion but its unlikely but if i practise laods i may get it. This is when everyone comes out and says you have no chance. But you can do anything if you try enough.

A

Chrislong 03-04-2007 08:01 PM

Ashley, if anybody says no chance to you then ignore it. its great to have ambition, and knowing what you need to do. Just remember it isn't the end of the world if you fail, DON'T GIVE UP TRYING!

U16, Greg Williams is certainly improving on a steep learning curve.

Connor Cocker has also improve 2000% over the last 12months, and is still very young, once his confidence grows he'll be very fast.

Chris

Lee Martin 03-04-2007 08:29 PM

Gulp.......Greg's a fast lad, under 16's will be busy heats at the Juniors this year, have a feeling the under 13's could be Jay Holmes year.

Hey Ash,

The regional that weekend is at Marston and it's the sunday is the 22nd  you got the 2WD bit right.

Col 03-04-2007 10:54 PM

Tom Moore is looking good, Ben Jemison is superb when he gets it right (but is still inconsistant) but Greg gets my vote. Didn't he make a national A final last season?

bigred5765 03-04-2007 11:04 PM

isnt greg still under 13's

and no he didnt make a a final

Spencer Mulcahy 03-04-2007 11:15 PM

Tommy has got my vote for this year he does well driving at just 80% of his abilaty when he starts using the other 20% he will be very very fast. Like Chris said if Conner carrys on improving like he has watch out he is only 10. Matty is one of the smoothest drivers that i have watched but needs to get the concistancy. Greg I needs to get a bit tougher with his driving he is up there now with the big boys fantastic driver and a perfect atitude. But all these would not be there without there dads to push them and help them (Tony,Chris,Carl,Barry). Three of these young uns pit with me so I am trounced every week by two of them (not long before Conner starts) much to the delight of there dads.:) :)

Chris dont forget Greg's only 12, so he is in my eyes the best U13 and up n coming for the future (dont meen to put you under presure monkey boy) but i think he'll go far.

I think Greg has still got 1 more shot at the U13 this year cos he's 13 in july soooo COME ON MONKEY BOY aka (lemon)
Gary

JCJC 04-04-2007 09:02 AM

Greg Williams and Tom Moore dominated at the Juniors under 13's last year, Greg taking 2WD and Tom second, positions reversed in 4WD, Greg having lots of leccy problems and (I think) competing some races with the 2WD. Jay was chasing these two and like Jordan needed to be more consistant.

Personaly more than pleased to hear that Greg is still under13, we may be competing in the under 16's, and thats one out of the way already:) .

mattym0310 04-04-2007 10:09 AM

im under 16 :p. why havnt i got a vote?? hah! i dont have anyone helping me with my cars, done all by myself, and more consistent than little ben. when i want to be and when i try i can be very quick [got 15th in round at york regional this year], i just often make silly mistakes, but my driving is getting better very quickly.

but i would still give greg a vote

Lee 04-04-2007 10:29 AM

Ashley, i dont know you personally but from reading your posts on here, you seem to have a lot of problems with finishing a race. Any top driver will tell you that preperation is key to being successful, for instance if your not finishing races your not getting as much practice in as you could be and you definatley wont be winning.

And consistency is the key, there is no point in doing 3 blistering laps to put it on its roof on the 4th, slow is fast. (practice what you preach lee:D )

You will get there just be patient and put in the time before the race:o
