Have a look here http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25016
it's not the latest X6 squared, but would be a perfect starter to then upgrade to the 'squared' version in the future. |

I knew he wouldn't believe you when you wrote x factory
Stampy, look in the various manufacturer sections on here, then come back and tell us what you want. TBH you wont get a better car for the money than the one sleigh posted above^^^ |
why call him Stampy??
why not call him Pede  |
Seriously Stampy-mag the X6 is a cracking car you would love it.
P.s your profile under the interests section, worries me:lol: |
Just out of interest what would you call cheap? Cos I've got a B4 I don't really use gathering dust and it could be rehomed for the right price. Comes with some spares and couple of sets of wheels/tyres.
|

And to think I thought "Stampedo" was actually a kid.
I've been browsing the threads for the past few days and the majority of this chap's posts seem to be absolutely pitiful questions. I mean, anyone who is looking for help should really be posting enough information to allow anyone willing to share advice and knowledge to be able to offer a reply. I credit everybody who has been able to tolerate this user. The point I'm trying to labour is: "Stampede vxlboy" please take time in constructing your questions so that we can actually understand what specifically you are asking for. I apologise for my rant to all of you who are not bothered by Stampedo's ridiculous questions. (Such as; "How long is a shock?" or "What is best, a big spur or a big pinion?") Julius. |

I advised you to not spend money upgrading a car thats really designed for bashing. Its money down the drain. You wouldnt put Porsche suspension and drivetrain on a Ford Ka. Or would you  :woot: It will be just fine to learn to drive with. You dont need an all out race spec car if you cant go 5 minutes without crashing a dozen times. You have said that you are new to racing a few times thats all. Ive told you what i would do if money is tight, buy the tyres, change the shock oil, drive learn and enjoy until you have got funds to buy what you want. |
Stampede vxlboy... Please avoid leaving messages on my profile again.
I was only trying to be constructive in the sense that you repeatedly ask questions without giving enough background information. The people on this forum are absolutely brilliant, a forum is a great way of sharing expertise, but I can't understand how they can tolerate your completely idiotic way of asking for help. Julius. |

It is based largely on the Kyosho RB5 which is a worlds A finalist car. The only weak point are the shocks, but you have already upgraded them so stick with it and learn to drive it properly. The spares for it are much cheaper than B4 spares so it will cost you less in the long run. Don;t be so quick to change before you have even tried it. Get down the club and talk to the others, get their advice on setting it up, get correct tyres etc. Then just drive it a lot and get practice |

thanks but the new shocks make it look bigger at the front end. and it rolls 25oil in the rear and 30 oil in the front. it better than it was but the parts are crap . parts just snap all the time t plate ect i was think of buy all the xpro parts for it coz there strong parts. thanks mate

All cars break... Cleaner driving is the key. At your last meeting, did your car break at any point where YOU didn't hit anything, or YOU were not at fault? Look closer to home with regards to the real issue here. You are going to waste an awfull lot of money changing cars and equipment all the while. None of which will withstand bad driving. I know you are fairly new to racing, and therefore negotiating a set track may be a little difficult. But slow things down, racing and spending and get practicing!!!
|
B4 wishbones will break as easy as madrat ones! Admitted, the t-piece is a little weak, but get a carbon one and it is fine. The X-pro t piece is the same part as are all the other x-pro parts, so don't bother getting all those. They have a slightly higher carbon content to make them stiffer, but that will only make them more brittle in an impact.
As i said, get to the club and let an experienced racer have a look at your car and give you some set up pointers. |
