Jimmy, there's no section for us racers that have embraced the new 2.4GhZ technology and no longer use crystals.

Chris

jimmy 12-12-2005 08:33 AM

im not good enough with such web form choding chris!

but if you look in the help section it tells you to enter "spectrum" in the 3 fields.. :D

i'll maybe add that to the form page you think ?

Northy 12-12-2005 01:19 PM

How many entries are there Jimmy?

jimmy 12-12-2005 01:30 PM

through the form im not sure probably none yet! :) there were some at batley meetings because the online thing wasnt done, only did it yesterday so hopefully should start flooding in now!

Oscar 12-12-2005 03:15 PM

I took 25 paper copies of the entry form to the last club meeting, and they ran out within the first hour or so of being made available. Quite a few of those were returned and paid for on the day.
I expect we will either hit the cut off limit, or certainly be very close to it. You may be well advised to book early

jimmy 12-12-2005 06:19 PM

Allllll right then, whos the joker ?

Thinking of having a go again indoor been about 6 yr since last time. What tires are we now using indoor from memory it was schumacher yellow spikes or pins. Are these still the tire of choice or have we moved on?

Also from memory some venues were better with worn others with new tires.

Any help would be appreciated.

jimmy 16-12-2005 08:23 AM

aye yellow minispikes or pins generally, pins would probably be quicker round batley. I guess newer ones do better round batley also.

Oscar 16-12-2005 09:42 AM

Yellow pins do go off once they start to wear, but yellow mini-spikes work OK also, and don't need to be new ones.

Heyhoe 03-01-2006 05:40 PM

Ok, just a general offroad question.

Dont shaft drive offroaders suffer with bad torque steer in mid air??? Like the car trying to barrel roll

Anonymous 04-01-2006 07:58 AM

A bit yes, if you throttle it (to get the nose up) over a jump, the car with lean over a bit.
You can also lean the car by steering one way or the other.
its no biggie really.

PaulRotheram 04-01-2006 12:56 PM

about tyres.. im looking to buy a new set for the event but dont want to have to buy another set before the day is over cause they have lost there 'edge'

will new spikes be any good? or should i buy some this week and wear them down abit at my local?

ussually race at formy 100% carpet with a few jumps

jimmy 21-01-2006 12:03 AM

Just thought id say there are AT LEAST 100 drivers booked in now, with plenty of big name drivers, if youve not booked in already then hmmmm, better be bloody quick.. ! :D

hold on, ive not booked in yet!!!!

full report and photos in RACER magazine by john price and myself, what a bargain!

Oscar 21-01-2006 09:49 AM

Don't worry Jimmy, we booked you in :D
There are I think 113 entries up to press. 4wd is full and only a few places remain in 2wd. I would ask anyone who has booked in and knows they now cannot attend, please let us know otherwise you may be preventing someone else from racing.

jimmy 21-01-2006 09:56 AM

nice one john, i just took a look yesterday and saw like 10 more entries but i guess you had already seen em!
blimey, 113 !!!
best get there early or youll be pitting on each others laps !! haha

are we running the full width track or should we have a bit of room for pitting up that side wall like we did for the big regional we had ?

Oscar 21-01-2006 10:00 AM

Track will be as big as we dare to allow pitting space. If everyone is sensible we should all fit fine.
Just a reminder to all, track building is 3pm on Sat, turn up and you not only get a say in how the track is, you also get a guaranteed pitting spot :)

nick oliver 21-01-2006 11:10 AM

PaulRotheram 22-01-2006 07:51 PM

Is there any chance of me swapping to do 2wd? im having a few issues with my 4wd at the moment and dont want to risk it at the supercup :(

Oscar 22-01-2006 11:00 PM

No Problems

PaulRotheram 23-01-2006 12:42 PM

cheers! :thumleft:

Northy 26-01-2006 01:01 PM

Is brushless allowed?

jimmy 26-01-2006 01:15 PM

I dont think this has been discussed, so yes they are allowed! ;)

Northy 26-01-2006 01:17 PM

Hope so! Can you find out for sure?

Up the revolution! :)

jimmy 26-01-2006 01:26 PM

I wouldnt know who to ask, but since im helping organize it, then yea i'll allow you to run it northy, tell them jimmy said so! that'll give it some weight for sure.. :p
seriously though, we run them at club meetings and at regionals, so theres no problem.

Northy 26-01-2006 01:35 PM

the conversation could go like this:

"One of your sponsors said I could, so there......." :)

Cheers Jimmy

jimmy 26-01-2006 05:24 PM

Supercup is just.. about... FULL...

I'll disable the form when i get home, but please dont register there anymore, you can email [email protected] and leave your details and your PHONE NUMBER so we can contact you to let you know if you have a place or not.

There will be plenty of top drivers in attendance, should be a good race meeting.

Northy 26-01-2006 06:06 PM

Jimmy,

Do you have a list of whos booked in?

jimmy 26-01-2006 06:45 PM

I asked john if he could release one so hopefully he can do that maybe, but it might be too big a job to edit it all into a list ??!? not sure
Im not sure if john has a list of people that booked in direct with dianne though.. so might not be all there
There are big lads like cree, ellis stafford, graham north !, bradders, dodd, etc etc.. Mat benfield is coming up from racer magazine, john price is doing the report, im doing photos.. Should be a good day..

PaulRotheram 26-01-2006 07:26 PM

ill be there.. cant get no better!?!?

daz 26-01-2006 07:54 PM

Cool with all them drivers there im bound to come last he he. Least the bar will be open tho and the F A cups on

nick oliver 26-01-2006 10:40 PM

I guess there is going to be a shop there?

jimmy 26-01-2006 11:15 PM

About 1/3 of the entries were done either on paper at club meetings, or by phone to Dianne so I don't have a record of them (although I do know who most are). Pretty much everyone who booked in online will have had an email off me a couple of days back requesting any non atendees to make themselves known.
If your still unsure or have any changes you can of course ask questions via [email protected]

Peter from Castle models will be there & I have been told Jez who runs the Touring meetings is fetching his shop also (unsure as to what off road stuff he carries other than tyres)

I am fairly sure the ladies who do the catering for the football teams, have been approached and asked to bring extra supplies ;-)

jimmy 27-01-2006 04:21 PM

Any idea about extra pitting space john ? what about that store room with the chairs in can we go in there ? was there a room upstairs available ?
its gonna be tight in there..
I think theres gonna be a lot coming to help out with the knowlege they can stick their tables in at the same time, can we prebook a nice corner now john, being that we are somewhat organisers ? :D does that give us power ? lol

The store room will be for the shop.
There will be no upstairs pitting, but we have the possibility of an overspill into the corridor if required.
The official team oOple pit area will be reserved by race control I expect :-D
