can anybody help me with the weight of 2 wheels drive car .i have got 2 full packs core rc weight on front end of the car. and it still pulling the front end up of the car. weight with a battery is 1907 and its still wheeling with a 7.4v lipo battery .plus its a heavy car its a 10 turner 3500kv but more like a 8.5 turn:lol: just carnt keep the front end down.

jono83 07-08-2009 08:35 PM

does it have a slipper clutch? if so back it off a little

stampede vxlboy 07-08-2009 08:37 PM

i have turned it back half of a full turn the slipper clutch:mad: if i turn it back more. it will not work right slipping too much if i turn it back more

Scouser 07-08-2009 08:44 PM

Does your speedo have a punch adjustment? If so, try adjusting it to a lower setting. You could also try a different pinion to see if that helps.

stampede vxlboy 07-08-2009 08:50 PM

tryed that if i turn it down is like practise mode. and if i gear it lower it just pulls the front end up more  have a look on youtube traxxas rustler vxl:lol:

stampede vxlboy 07-08-2009 09:03 PM

plus the oil in shocks is 50 w. and its still doing it ?

jameswilkinson7 07-08-2009 09:16 PM

Simon. Balance the slipper clutch so it gives drive but isnt as aggresive.

stampede vxlboy 07-08-2009 09:23 PM

i spent alot of time on this car. i have tryed everything i can do. i phone modelsport they said the same . you can keep the front end down stick 6 packs of core rc weight on it . but then it too heavy it weight 1907 with a battery . traxxas said the same:lol:

Marvin 07-08-2009 09:33 PM

Just drive more smoothly! In my 1/8 brushless stuff, it's so easy to overdo it, just tame that throttle finger/thumb.

ch!3f 07-08-2009 09:34 PM

have you tryed movint the centre weight od the car forward i.e is ther spares on rear hub put them at rear of hub instead of at front also move esc and receiver forward in car if possible that will help,if that doesnt work what about throttle control?dont just stick full throttle on n it mite stay down!!!!!!!

ch!3f 07-08-2009 09:46 PM

thinking about it doesnt it come with wheelie bars on back?theres your answer its suppost to wheelie its down to your driving gota take it steady!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lo l::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

stampede vxlboy 07-08-2009 09:48 PM

i have moved the reciever to the front 2.4ghz and the esc is mounted to a plate sat at the back of the car there only this place for the esc with it been quite big

stampede vxlboy 07-08-2009 09:50 PM

yes it does but plastric 1 just snap so i got metal 1

jameswilkinson7 07-08-2009 10:12 PM

Set your slipper clutch and try to be less throtle happy:D

Chrislong 07-08-2009 10:15 PM

More weight (Bag of sand), be more gentle with the throttle and a wheelie bar.

stampede vxlboy 07-08-2009 10:40 PM

need so better shocks and my shocks are 90mm long and the rears are 100mm long plus it got 2 full packs core rc weight on the front end and 50wz oil it the shocks

poopers 07-08-2009 10:57 PM

Try softening the rear shocks so they absorb more of the energy from acceleration, don’t they come with 30 wt as standard? If that doesn’t work, drive on a polished floor.

Also, have a nice cup of tea before driving to calm your throttle finger.

Vxl

Slipper clutch - got to be

I've had a vxl bandit myself - tried it with slipper locked and it wheelied dead easy, loosened a bit and it was fine.

If you can't get that balance then guess something is wrong with the slipper

Si Coe 07-08-2009 11:58 PM

Also remember that the chassis was designed for NiMHs (actually NiCads its the old!). If you are running lipos that 2 packs of weights isn't much at all. That will just take you to the weight of NiMH no more since Lipos are really light. I put three whole strips of weight in my B4 - two of them lining the bottom of the battery tray just to compensate for the difference in weight to NiMHs. Only the third strip is actually used for balancing the car.

But yes, most important of all is throttle control. Just ease in the throttle and it won't wheelie. Once upon a time cars didn't have slipper clutches or punch settings on ESC's. Your only traction control was your left thumb!

Crazy L 08-08-2009 07:39 AM

Just to reiterate what other people have said, be smoother with the throttle. The stick/trigger has more than one position, learn to use it.

have you tried fitting a wheelie bar mate?

the tamiya midnight pumpkin and lunchbox models suffered a similar problem. perhaps a wheelie bar would help you. you could gaffer tape or cable tie it onto the gearbox.

wheely great

stampede vxlboy 08-08-2009 09:51 AM

its got a wheelie bar integy alloy 1 on

mark christopher 08-08-2009 02:30 PM

:pthis is easy
it caused by those who talkbollockius, what you need to do it fit one of the new fufar valves that is made by analretards, these can be found at www.icrantdrive.com there very cheap and are inserted through the rear passage.:blush::mad::confused:;)

stampede vxlboy 08-08-2009 03:44 PM

. i am going to put 4 packs core rc weight on it . and 1 other thing that it does is when your at full speed and hit the brakes fast it slides on the grass on rolls some times . and my tryes are schumacher full spikeand the gearing is 76 spur and 23 pinion and 50wt oil in the shocks

Wasn't that a slight over-reaction.....:eh?: You say you didn't click on the link, but on your previous post (which you have now amended you said the link didn't work). My reply was just to enlighten you regarding another members post. Maybe if you didn't react in this way, others wouldn't try to provoke you.

poopers 08-08-2009 05:41 PM

Nige, going on previous threads it was a restrained and articulate retort!:o

One of my fav posts is vxlboy’s request that daz engage in, ahem, relations with a pig after daz gave advice in a previous thread.:woot:

Anyway, he gives as good as he gets.:thumbsup:

ch!3f 08-08-2009 07:00 PM

were trying to help you were giving you really good hints and tips on what to do with your car also driving tips and your just not listening you need to learn that your car is designed to wheelie and its down to you to learn haw to control it.

theres nothing wrong with the car its you.

haw long you been driving days weeks?
best option is listen and you will learn from your errors we all started off shit you no!!!!!!

just some people stay shit coz they dont wana listen!

stampede vxlboy 08-08-2009 07:15 PM

i know i have been bashing for the last 3 years i sorted it out mate. slipper clutch something wrong with it i got loads of trucks and buggys i am new to buggy different to trucks . that all

fury muff mate good luck to you.

stampede vxlboy 08-08-2009 07:35 PM

thanks mate nice to talk to someone that :thumbsup:sensible

c0sie 08-08-2009 09:03 PM

Simple. Put a bigger pinion on it, like a 26 or something. It wont wheelie and it will go faster.

Problem solved.

stampede vxlboy 08-08-2009 09:13 PM

i got a 23 pinion on it but if i put 25 will be faster on topend . but i got told to use a 19 pinion for a race track

ch!3f 08-08-2009 09:36 PM

faster topend but slower acceleration which will reduce wheelies.:p

c0sie 08-08-2009 11:29 PM

You ask for help, I post something I think will help your situation and you blow my ideas away?

Happy posting mon amie
