Thanks Jonesy,
I had a quick look at the site. Is the track open yet, if not when will your opening race be?

were hoping to be up and running in about 3-4 weeks. our chairman is buying a full timming sysytem so you can run pt's. race control and and rostrum should be sorted by the end of this weekend and track outline with jumps sorted. if anyone knows where can get some astro turf from please contact me.

many thanks

spenner 30-04-2007 07:39 PM

I was hoping that track was for 1/10th, looks awesome!!!!
Is it going to be astroturfed?????? Thought it was clay or some kind of dirt

emzy 30-04-2007 07:44 PM

From the post that Jonesy99 made... sounds like nitro only to me!

Col 30-04-2007 11:04 PM

Where is Bishop Auckland? Close enough to be considered North East? If so, share the wealth and open up to 1/10 electric;)

emzy 30-04-2007 11:11 PM

Yep, its near Durham (the real Durham, not Durham as in where the regionals are... which is actually Washington!). Bit south of Durham...

damo666 01-05-2007 01:03 AM

Its 10 minutes from Durham services heading towards Bishop Auckland.I live west end of Newcastle and it takes me 30mins tops.

What days do 1/10 electric buggy's normally race?

dave g 01-05-2007 07:57 AM

nitro only guys...dont you leccy lads have enough tracks of your own? :)

maybe they will let 1/10th have a go..then we can al come down to batley with the 1/8ths :)

Dave, I love that idea! I've wanted to see what they're like for a while now. But you nitro boys must struggle for tracks, due to noise issues?

dave g 02-05-2007 08:33 AM

well noise is obviously a consideration when building a track but theres tons of 1/8th tracks around the uk.

oople open jimmy!!!

Lee 02-05-2007 01:35 PM

Is the track open for practice at all?

I live in durham city so it would be ideal to have a blast round and try some new stuff

damo666 03-05-2007 10:00 PM

Its open this Sunday for a test run.

Lee 04-05-2007 07:21 AM

Will you be allowing 1/10th or is it stricktly 1/8th:(

I quite fancy a go at 1/8th as well but i havent got a clue about what to get:D

Northy 06-05-2007 12:26 PM

So does anyone have a post code or details of how to get there?

G

Lee 06-05-2007 01:09 PM

Northy,

A1 J61 head towards spennymoor, you will come to a pub on a roundabout called the thinford, from this round about keep going across roundabouts 5 in all i think its about 3 mile from the thinford. you will see a sign for caravan storage and prepacked coal,on the left its in there on the left handside. if you go past a total garage you have gone too far.

Its VERY VERY impressive, the only thing i would say is the grip looks very low as its very dusty and your car will come off white!!

Some fantastic features though and i am seriously thinking about having a go at rallyx

jonesy99 07-05-2007 01:21 PM

the track is mainly for nitro 1/8 we will be running 1/8 buggy, truggy and monster trucks if people want to race them. we had our first day on it yesterday and it was awesome. was getting more and more grip as the day went on. just wish my rossi 21-5 held and not cooked it self  ...

lol the marshall near the end of the vid looking else where then turns around and sees the upturned car before bolting like he's got a rocket up his backside to the car.
