My aims pretty much the same as AndyM, don't finish last and i'll hopefully steadily improve and TRY to keep the car on it's wheels rather than it's roof.:wtf:

My aim is to win the second from bottom final in 2wd and to win the bottom final in 4wd.

Dave, good run on saturday - the full spikes really worked for you. But on a slight downer, with this being a national event, is there a control tyre that must be used? Northy will know the answer to this one me thinks...

Northy 13-03-2007 08:29 PM

No control tyre.

G

jimmy 13-03-2007 08:34 PM

Full spikes are always supposed to be great on polished so i hear - but I never used them, mainly cos I never had any.

Col 13-03-2007 08:43 PM

Bugger

I'll have to watch my back then...

Northy 13-03-2007 09:01 PM

They are very easy to drive as the grip transition between floor and carpet is minimal, but they have no where near the drive and grip on the carpet. Not the fastest tyre in my opinion, by a long way.

Hi all,

Are there any photos online of last years finals so as to have a look at the track size and type of track that they lay? I hear there is some big air to be had off some of the jumps

thanks, john

Northy 14-03-2007 09:30 PM

Here's a link to an indoor regional there in 2005:

http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/york201105/

It will be something like this:

http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/york2...ages/track.jpg

I'm not going to give any secrets away about my track design yet though, mainly because I haven't designed one yet!!!! :o :o

WOW! Looks good, Cant wait

Northy 14-03-2007 10:18 PM

It'll be better than above, we have more stuff to build jumps with now! :)

There will be some big 'features', but they will all be raceable, I do not believe in building an obsticle course.

This was this years indoor regional track at the other venue we race at:

http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/york2...s/OOP_9805.jpg

It might look quite easy, but there were 11 'features' in one lap! Kept you on your toes but was very good to race on IMHO :)

woOdy 14-03-2007 10:20 PM
