2007 NE Outdoor Regional Dates!

Mr G Northy,

When will the dates for the NE Regional’s be finalised, because I'm trying the plan a weekend away for the miss' birthday and at the moment there is a 4WD regional 'provisionally' highlighted for 22nd April.

As you'll appreciate I have to ensure my priorities are covered first, before even considering hers!!!

Also, while I’m on the subject, any chance of swapping the Batley regional’s around so that the 4WD is on the Saturday 30th June and not Sunday 1st July.

Best of British old boy.

Tony.

PS: I think others would like confirmation too!?!

Cue Emily's growling!!

Batley + 4wd = love.

Emily + Saturdays = tears.

Northy 22-02-2007 12:40 PM

Don't know.

G

Antony 22-02-2007 02:53 PM

I can not believe that I have found a subject that you know bugger all about!

1-0 Tony!

Personally, I think all 2WD should be sat and all 4WD should be sun. It confuses the hell out of me when things start getting moved over from one event to the next:confused:

Oh, so does Batley still have an outdoor track then??

andys 23-02-2007 08:30 PM

Oscar.

Explain yourself, what do you mean about the batley outdoor track, youv'e got me worried now ?

Andy.

Col 23-02-2007 08:31 PM

several points here:

1: I'm confused allready and have forgot point 1.

2: I work every saturday.

3: What IS the difference between a turnip and a toffee apple?

4: Booking saturdays off - that's what holiday allocation is for

5: This year I will only be racing sundays in 4WD, so I guess that's my F rating out the window...

Yep thats the place, near Yarm. Would be in the massive grass car park if it gets the go ahead, keep your fingers crossed as they used to be some great weekends there, Regionals,Schumacher weekends, fire engine rally all used to host big buggy events, hope we can get the go ahead.

Northy 13-03-2007 12:40 PM

No need for the special tyres :)

We used to have school trips to Preston Park when I was in the Infants / Juniors... awwh. Butterfly World is immense!

Many a happy trip spent there... I remember sitting on one of the big grassy hills eating a sandwich with my arm in a sling after I'd broken my arm... happy times.

barnyard 13-03-2007 06:37 PM

Not sure why thats so good but i think we could replicate it

Exactly how and who would break your arm will need to be discussed but if it makes you happy then so be it.

p.s. what flavour sarnies would you like?

tc2k 13-03-2007 07:09 PM

Hope the preston park thing goes ahead. Thatll be 2 regionals within 5 minutes of me :D
Plus theres crazy golf!

LEGEND 13-03-2007 08:05 PM

i really do hope it is at preston park. I only live in ingleby, which is less than five minutes away an di could probably bike there and it would take about 10-20 mins. But the best part is, i wouldn't have to ask anyone for a lift, my mum would actually be willing to take me.

How cool is that.:D

I could even go down one weekend with my buggy in my bag and some charged batterys to get in a little practise.

Josh there would only be one regional in Teesside as the Teesdale club is in a state of flux at the moment due to their track being damaged & the track may be developed upon by the owners of the land. The regional would be a joint effort between both clubs as i understand it.
Leggy, you couldn't practice there as there would be no track apart from when (& if) the regional weekend goes ahead, plus the council would have to approve use of the area so no realistic chance of getting in any practice.

Barry

tc2k 13-03-2007 10:22 PM

Aye barry, got confused with the indoor one at teesside :o
But the minaiture railway, crazy golf and mental peacocks there would surely bring everyone from all around! :D

Also, how on earth can you take your stuff on a bike :o

telboy 13-03-2007 10:42 PM

have I missed something here?

Where has preston park come from all of a sudden.......and no sarcastic answers like 'well, its been there for hundreds of years!'.:wtf:

Preston Park is where Teesside club are hoping to hold regionals this year. About 5-6 years ago they used to be held there through TRCC. Since the potential problem with Teesdale not being able to run, both clubs have spoken to each other & Preston Park is a possible alternative venue, but it is down to local council approval, hence the delay in getting an answer.

Col 14-03-2007 09:56 AM

So preston park will be run on flat grass? (like York outdoor regional) For some reason I thought there was a proper track there! Never mind

bretts 14-03-2007 11:07 AM

Time to dust down your 7 single then Col eh?
