prayers needed for my unborn baby (update)

i'm not a deeply religious person but do believe in prayer. and we really need some help at the minute.

my wife is 31 weeks pregnant with out 6th child. at 29 weeks she went into early labour, she was given an injection to stop the labour as it was far to early, luckily the injection worked.

however today the same thing has happened again, but this time the injection has only slowed the contractions down, so they gave my wife another injection to try and get the babys lungs developed quicky so she stands a better chance of been healthy at birth.

sorry for rambeling on but with the wife in hospital i'm sat here stressed and worried out of my mind for my wife and unborn daughter

Everything crossed here dude. Good luck.

thanks for the kind words guys:thumbsup:. i'll post an update tomorrow when we know what will happen next

telboy 31-05-2009 09:49 PM

Good luck dude, When my missus was preggers with the twins, she went into early labour at 25wks! She had the injection to stop it and then had the lung development injection. They were both born 4wks early and are fighting fit now.
Someone on the same ward dropped at 31 weeks and they were all fine.
I'm sure everything will be ok dude. Those hospital people are very good at their jobs in the maternity sections.

I feel for you bro'... The wifey had a bad time with our first at "only" 30 wks... she arrived within days of the 1st injections... but all is sweet now... and our little girl is now 13...! :wub 'n moody as a moody thing from planet moody!! (still can't drive for a toffee, so some things are deffo genetic...!) so everything crossed and trust the Docs and nurses dude... tell the missus to take it easy... 'n you too!

I've just said a few words to the gods of all things Ball diff for ya... and the high priestess of Novak has offered an LRP sphere to the guardians of the almighty spektrum... all is good...

thanks guys. alison is now home, and the contractions have stoped. they wanted to keep her in, but she was sent home due to a lack of beds and apparently more urgent cases needing the beds that could be freed up. so she is now on total bed rest

she's read every message you guys have left and says thanks to all of you

Garry Driffill 01-06-2009 06:41 PM

It must be reasuring to know the Docs think its safe to let her leave and be at home mate, Keep us updated :)

alison says she will pray for your driving to get better, but to be fair she also needs to pray for everyone else who posted a message of support :)

CHIN UP BUDDY, I AM SURE EVERYTHING WILL TURN OUT FINE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU IN THIS VERY TRYING TIME.

bigoggy 08-06-2009 08:51 PM

i've got an update on alison, but it's not a great one.

she's back in hospital with contractions and high blood presure. the contractions have been stoped again, but the blood presure ain't good. they are thinking it may be pre-eclampsia. they are gona moniter her overnight, so we wont know anything till the morning.

the really bad part is that loads of hospitals near us are full with premature babies, so if the baby needs to come out she will have to be transfered to liverpool, which is 100 miles from where we live. at least ali is from liverpool so has family there.

bald eagle 08-06-2009 08:55 PM

It must be a big worry for you. I hope you can take a little comfort in the fact she is simply in the best place to sort her out. If there was/is any iminent danger to Ali or the baby, they will move quicker than you can say boo to a goose.
Chin up mate, its amazing what the medical proffession can do these days...keep us updated, and I will say a quiet one to the big fella for you all tonight..;)

nobby 08-06-2009 09:44 PM

hi mate i don't know you but best of luck i hope everything works out for the best.
my wife suffered with pre-eclampsia with both of are kids.
the first one had to pop out 4 weeks early and the second popped out 2 weeks early and they were both fine.

one's 10 and the other's 4 now and there great apart from fighting with each other all the time:cry:

but there fit and well now:thumbsup:

i know it's a real worry for you but you have to put a brave face on things for your wife's sake and keep her chilled out at all times.

best of luck mate i hope and believe everything will be ok:D
