My first go....

Today was the first go at taking some action shots with my new samsung gx-1l. I took hundreds of pictures and only a few where hardly any good. Full credit to jimmy and stu as i didnt realise how hard it was to capture such a great shot like they do. The hall was abit dark at tivvy indoors near impossible towards the end.:p Have attached some of the good "ish" ones lol.

Look good mate - the one of bloomers at speed is nice. Indoors at Tiv the best place is in those spots of sun, you can get some really nice dramatic shots there.
|
nice, shots mate!, the quality of the image is great :D
|
Nice shots. Good colour too.
I think I bought the wrong camera! |
Wow, those are very nice.
I agree, I have to take around 200 images to get about 30 good ones, that aren't blurred, badly composed e.t.c Bit on the small size, but quality is impressive ;) Nicely done mate |
I think its the same with everyoune realy. Thats why digi cameras are so good. I use to get through around 10 rolls of film when i had a 'normal' camera. but now with the digi's you can check the images as they're taken.
I take around 450-500 shots when I take my camera to meetings and probably get around 50 shots that I like, and only around 25 that are decent. with the screen being so small though, I find that some shots look pretty good on the small screens but when you get it on the comp' it's blurred as hell :( . What is the viewfinder on the nikon d70 like? in my fuji its just another tiny monitor inside the camera?!:wtf: so it's crap to get things in focus manually because the deffenition isn't there at all. I prefer the 'real' viewfinder to be able to get things in focus properly. |

The d70 is purely looking through the lens - no little lcd screen business apart from the info around the side of course (settings etc)
Which reminds me, my d70 has gotta go on ebay - dragging my feet! |
Thats what my gx-l1 is like, i find it really easy to manualy focus and fast. When looking at the pic on the tiny screen looks awesome but when it gets on the comp its all blurred:mad: lol
Jimmy- Why do you think most of my pics came out blurry would any setting i could change help or is it just me lol Ryan |
email me a pic mate so I can see the settings in the exif (so not one you have messed about with and saved out from photoshop etc.)
If you are talking about indoors - then thats good old indoors for you! :D photography is about capturing light, the more light the better - so indoors you are battling all the way. I don't enjoy taking photos indoors - partly why I starting doing reviews, so I would have an excuse to take photos during winter. That said, you can still get decent shots indoors, just takes a bit more practice and setting up your camera for the conditions. |
Whats ur email?
|
Hey jimmy how much you selling it for?:)
|
as much as possible! lol
I duno - I need to pay off another cam :eh?: it doesn't include a lens however since I am keeping it. |
ooh, jimmy. did you get my order for some of your stickies? only i've not had any reply.:)
If not can you take 3x sheets of your oOple stickers if you are going to teesside? If you're not going then, obviously, don't.:p Sorry I've gone off topic. ...........come to think of it, I may have just e-mailed you. |
