same here week days are bad for me,shame it looks awsome

YoungChazz 16-04-2009 01:48 PM

You get these boys over in the U.S. racing on actual dirt and it's amazing what happens!

BagofSkill 16-04-2009 03:12 PM

I'd definatly in for this.

Is 2wd running mod and stock- or unlimited only? I haven't done off road in years, (lots of TC though). Will I waste my time turning up with a 27T or 23T in the car?

Are Pro Line tyres compulsary from the off?

PTRU 16-04-2009 03:49 PM

I beleave pro-line tyre from the off they should be on sale at the track I am sure Lee or Tony will confirm this.

RogerM 16-04-2009 04:00 PM

Oh, must check diary! Look cool to me though.

jono83 17-04-2009 01:24 PM

At a guess it'd be M3 Holeshots depending on how damp the surface is

lexx007 25-04-2009 01:58 PM

So you can only use Proline tyres on the track. Are there any limitations on cars? I use both brushless and stock motors with losi and tamiya chassis. Are these ok? As for the Losi chassis im not sure they do a proline tyre in the hub size. The tamiya will take pretty much any standard tyre but the losi has proved to be problamatic on wheel changing. I have some Ansmann buggy wheels i could modify that have the same tread as proline. Are these acceptable?

PTRU 25-04-2009 06:56 PM

which Losi will you be running 2wd or 4wd?

Only Pro-line tyres as per entry conditions.
Wheels are free you can run any type.

As far as cars are concerned as long as it is 1/10th off road not a problem.

As per first post

BagofSkill 26-04-2009 09:20 PM

Will tyres be available trackside from the first meeting? I've got exactly the same problem with a Losi XXX 2WD. Anyone know a shop with Losi rims in stock?

And what are the recomended tyres? Low profile 4 rib fronts (#8175-02) and Holeshot rears?

Richard Lowe 26-04-2009 09:27 PM

The rear wheels on current Losi and AE cars fit either car guys :)

BagofSkill 26-04-2009 09:50 PM

Didn't know that! Cheers!

But does that mean the fronts aren't universal? Mu Losi has a little hex drive (the bearings are in the hub) and a 1/8 stud.

lardshow 26-04-2009 09:56 PM

you need actual losi fronts but the rears are close, not sure if they have quite the same offset though, if you need some wheels let me know i'm sure i can sort you some out.

Might be interested in a Sunday/BH Monday meeting at some point. Would it be possible to run my T4 truck if we had some of them? I want to use up the kit tyres that came with it LOL!

All the best
Mark

AlisdairO 30-04-2009 07:17 AM

Hey, I can't make it this time, but is there a schedule for events, or weekly races, or anything?

BagofSkill 30-04-2009 09:09 AM

Is there any comformation that tyres will be availabe at the race next week?

I need for 2WD Wide Rib Front (PL8176) and Hole Shot Low Profile rear (PL8184) I think? Anyone correct me if I'm wrong because I know nothing about off road tyres.

Cheers, Chris.

Teddy truman 30-04-2009 09:23 AM

lee posted a little while back on here that MK racing should have tyres in from today?

as for future meetings.. this wednesday will be the first meeting and depending on how we get on etc we plan to run every wednesday night tbc...
