NRX 2wd Regional Rnd 1 - 26th of April

Come on guys, get booked in online for the first round, not many so far

Lets support this new club that has welcomed us by offering to run a round of the 2wd series.

I much prefer online booking for the event and will not be checking it until the death on the Saturday night, so I would say get your entries in as soon as you can.

If you are having trouble booking in online, you have the time to get it sorted now, emails, pm's, phone calls can all get lost/forgotten about. The best way to book in is online. If you are having problems there is an email address to send queries to on the site.

Cheers,

G

Chequered Flag Racing 17-04-2009 10:07 AM

click on my space @ youtube in my signature line for video's

regional won't be using the jump at the back that the nitro's use.

look for Gary "The Wrecker" Waller for electric track

new mini pins will probably be to aggressive

mini spikes should be the ticket

may need a row of spikes cutting from outer edges

don't think it's been run damp but greens may be the ticket if damp/wet

timmy121 17-04-2009 10:19 AM

i don't really know a lot about this track is a new trank or an old 8th nitrro track so it'll be pretty bumpy
o and is there a lot of sand on it
cheers

Lee 17-04-2009 10:23 AM

They have tried to make it as 10th friendly as possible, it's still pretty bumpy and scary if you get it wrong.

2wd will be easier to get round than 4wd as they are less effected by the bumps.

Should be fun though

Northy 17-04-2009 01:25 PM

Up, up, up.....

Don't all jump down my throat at the poor jumping ...... I know Im not supposed to land on up ramps!

N7ELA 18-04-2009 10:26 PM

Track is getting worked on regularly to smooth out bumps and adapt it to tenth. It will be mint by the time the regional comes...

ben 18-04-2009 10:29 PM

Chris is that the exact layout to be used at the regional track? (2wd)

chrispattinson 19-04-2009 07:05 AM

Ben... that was last andonly time I was at the track, on 1st March. As far as I know its the same layoout for the regional, but maybe someone else can confirm.

cmgreen 20-04-2009 06:58 AM

Just an idea.........

As there seems to be a low entry for the up comming regional and this may follow through for the rest of them, is there any reason why we cant put on a few 4wd heats? Just an open meeting? Gets extra money into the club and maybe a few more people there. ??????????????

Lee 20-04-2009 07:16 AM

I know other regions do a 2wd/4wd heat if they have space but i am not sure about the North east region, i have seen non regional heats but these usually have more of a following if the venue is hosting a national during the year, for instance you will see the blyth regional being very popular this summer ;)

Northy is the man to answer this officially as he has the brca hat and tattoo  he loves it

Northy 20-04-2009 08:05 AM

You guys mean like the non regional truck class that will be running?

G

Lee 20-04-2009 08:06 AM

Thats how i understood it G

Northy 20-04-2009 10:03 AM

Come on guys, get your entries in!

I will be sending the list of people who are booked in to the BRCA on Wednesday to check for valid membership. All those people (as long as they have a valid membership) will not have to show their membership cards at booking in.

If you are not on the list by Wednesday, you will have to show your card at booking in to prove you have a valid membership.

G

cmgreen 20-04-2009 11:43 AM

So is that a yes then?

I probably wont be able to make it any way, i was just thinking of people who could run two classes to make a day of it, also bring in more revenue for the clubs during these difficult times.

seen gazeboo's with weights on the corners to hold them down but not seen any tents. Pitting area isn't grass I'm afraid. Might be some pics kicking about from last years Truggy National showing the pits.

gazhillAE 21-04-2009 09:21 AM

How far is this track roughly from Stockport?

Would love to do the ne series but travelling up there isn't easy from me I dont think?

Is there an address and postcode anywhere ?

Lee 21-04-2009 10:11 AM

Tents and gazebo's have been put up before, but bear in mind the ground is very hard.

If you are wanting to put one up you'll more than likely need some of these: http://www.busyoutdoors.com/shop/awn...5dbefe65235511

turbo_brick 21-04-2009 04:54 PM

Due to low numbers there will be a 4WD non regional heat if there is enough entrants, same rules apply as the trucks

WHITTLER555 21-04-2009 07:38 PM

Sorry I can't attend the first round but I am playing with big cars this weekend in Anglesey.

Good luck with the meeting, I will try and get to the 4WD round.

After a couple of pm's I thought I'd just add this to this thread,

Directions to the track can be found here:

http://northernrc.com/index.php?s=&s...ndpost&p=13341

Please also be aware that there will be no catering van on site this weekend, but there is a mcdonalds within 5 mins drive and a garage with shop straight outside the entrance to the track.
