If that's the finished car, they might have a problem with dirt ingression ...
|
are under trays still made for buggies?
certainly looks a nice car |
Yes undertrays are still widely used - but it's not clear wether this car will come with one or not. the other option is chassis film. This design doesn't have a great problem with dirt ingress since there isn't much that could be damaged with dirt and the majority of the drivetrain is sealed.
|
The problem with this lay out will be motor / pinion access. There isn't a clear shot of the motor mounting but I assume the cells would need removing and possibly require a special (ball hex) driver to make motor install / removal easier.
Hey whats that cavalieri motor, is it just a motor or a hint? :D (rumour mode engaged) |
Cyclone D4 Spec
I know from inside information that there is no problem getting the motor in and out with out removing batteries. But who takes out a motor with out removing batteries.;) ;) ;)
|
Lazy people? lol
good point though. The battery posts are the parts that really seem to get in the way on this design of car. |
I meant dirt ingression from the lack of body, by the way. Just my little joke.
Elliott. |
you are on a higher plane of comedy - afriad it went right over me :eh?::D
YEAH come on ad, where is the shell. |
The only thing I can see that I wouldnt like is that the inner camber links will not go lower than the top plate. On the BJ4 we had to lower the ball ends quite a bit to make it go. Other than that it looks fantastic. Cant wait to see it go round the track:D

Those at the Teesside Regional should get the first veiwings.
I am sure Jimmy will have his camera thrust into Adams car when he arrives.;) ;) ;) |

poor Adam must be sore from being probed |
Apparently vaseline over the lens gives you a soft focus.
|
There is a current theme of threads decending into smuttiness.... cool.

I think I recognize that car from somewhere....
|
when will this buggy expected to be out? and what price range would it be in?
|
Price: You'll be suprised.
When out. Hopefully before the outdoor season starts. Please don't hold me to this... but that's the target.. It will come with undertray...too answer someones previous question... They are not on show as they are undergoing final tweaking and buffing......to minimise 'Aero Drag' -> @ Mr Doughty....:D :D :o |
its a metric bj4:D

Shame you didn't look more closely... There's only 2 parts from the Pro 4....:p and you can't see those.... |

Maybe they designed the whole car like what he was already driving to bring him over. [/rumour mode] |
WOW that one nice looking buggy i no it looks like the BJ4 but it is nicer.
Is there any pics of the body??? A |
I'm quite honestly dissopointed. With all the hype of this car i was imagineing it to be some mad radical dezign. I'm sure i have one of them in the other room, but in blue :p
The car looks good though, any chance of some weight distribution pictures when you get the chance to see one Jimmy? I'm intrigued to see how close motor and cell placement is to other 4wds. It will be interesting to see one close up to see some more irregularities from the 'bj4'. |

It does look good, saying that, most cars look good these days, and am assuming, it will be released with a miriad of hop-up options, so you can make you car look like someone puked purple anodizing solution all over it? |
ban purple. it is so 1990
|
if anybodu needs spare parts i sure you could order them from http://www.jconcepts.net
|
|
will this car be in the BJ4WE price range? or a fair bit cheaper?
|
The only information available is clues like "we'll be surprised" etc. So I am guessing a good chunk cheaper than the other expensive cars out there, maybe more in the XX4 price range?
|
WOW jimmy where did you get a picture of my sister from.

What wheels and foams inserts?
Hi
What is the wheel width for 1/10 scale 4WD buggy? 2.2" dia Front and Rear? Widths F/R? What other brand of wheels fit will fit? What is the Hex size? Do you use the standard foam inserts that come with the tires? Otherwise what inserts? I need to get a whole lot of gear when I get the buggy to save on postage. Thanks Jeff |
when is the release date?
|
:) Here in the motherland I'm being told 1st May 2007.:)
|
Do we have any sort of a confirmed date? I am on the border of buying a BJ4 or waiting for this. It sounds like I would save some cash by waiting, but I don't really want to wait for more than a month. Thanks.
|
I was talking to adam at the weekend and it sounds to be quite close I have to say.. They have part bags and the mould for the shell in-house to start pumping those out.
