Teeside Indoor Regional

Guys and girls,

The entry for this meeting is again a large one (there are only a few places left). If anyone has any changes to any of their details can you please let us know before the event to hopefully speed up the booking in process.

If your details were wrong at York, please let us know. Have you now got, or not got a PT we don't know about? Have you got more or less crystals? Are you on Spektrum? Do you want to race a different class?

If you know now that you are NOT coming can you let us know so places can be opened up to others.

This is for your benifit and hopefully we'll get home a little earlier. :)

Thanks

Graham

Northy 01-02-2007 01:23 PM

Just to let everyone know Derek will be creating the heat listing on WEDNESDAY MORNING (as he is going away), so if you do want any details changing you need to let Derek (or me if you don't know how to contact him) before then.

Cheers,

G

super__dan 02-02-2007 07:52 PM

For goodness sake everyone please do this as not finishing my final last time till 7.30 at night is not cool!

tc2k 02-02-2007 11:34 PM

Northy, can I ask if my PM got through and my details have been changed.
Thanks

Spencer Mulcahy 03-02-2007 09:33 AM

Can you let Derek know that I will not be attending thanx

Spen.

footey 03-02-2007 10:05 AM

With this current season of indoor running with timed, ticket only pracice sessions, and ever increasing numbers turning up, is it not time to at least think about running regionals more like nationals?
For example - is there any reason why we can't run pre-booked only whether this be online or by snail mail. This "problem" of loads of people turning up on the day seems to be a major factor in causing delays.
And another thing that bugged the hell out of me at York regional was that the race's were held up because people were not ready (with over an hour between rounds, how the hell can you not be ready?!?)
Personally I feel that this situation is going to need addressing soon if numbers coutinue to grow like they seem to be doing.

paulc 03-02-2007 07:30 PM

hi has somebody got the postcode for the teeside venue please

cheers paul:)

super__dan 04-02-2007 09:35 AM

Col I agree that on a 120 driver indoor regional, if you're not ready, it's tough I'm afraid. Nationals does this, and it works just fine.

Sent an email to Brian Hopps re entry and had no reply.
The booking in site seems to be playing up @ my end.

Has Brian 'retired' from RC or is he just in the back ground?

Spoke to Stuart Craig @ the club last night and it was down to 4 2wd and less 4wd drive slots so I booked a slot with him for 2wd as I hadn't heard from Brian

What's Derek's email again (PM if he keeps it private)

Teesside Regional

Hi Guy's n Gals
Just a reminder that the doors will be open at 8.00am and not before, it'll give me some time to sort out an overflow pit area, also may I just remind people that there is pitting tables, chairs and power but they are limited so if you could bring your own plus extension leads or 12v supply that would be great, i'll look forward to seeing you all there. :)

tc2k 06-02-2007 05:13 PM

8 oclock open, ha, so that means I dont have to get up till half 7. Looking forward to the regional!

footey 06-02-2007 05:18 PM

Clockwise may be possible, but,

Banked corner has a lip on it if you approach from left to right so it makes it difficult to run the corner clockwise. Taping it down doesn't seem to help as there is to much spring in the wood it's made from. You wouldn't want to have it lift on you as your on for TQ.

Northy 07-02-2007 12:49 PM

I'm sure Barry and Greg will sort us a good track, their tracks are always good :)

The Teesside boys have never dissapointed yet. Anyway, on to more important things - what time does the cafe open?

LiamD 08-02-2007 08:11 PM

I would guess it's open at either 9 or 10am. One or the other.

super__dan 09-02-2007 09:57 PM

I can't come any more :(

My house decorating didn't come along as well as I had hoped (due to previous owner being a tard) and then the ceiling fell down. I have just got it to the habitable stage which is handy as I need to move over the next 2 days despite not having packed at all yet :(

jimarea51 10-02-2007 10:08 AM

Ooooh!

Sorry to hear about your ceiling Dan:o I hope you weren't under it at the time!!!

You'll be missed on sunday, who'll bear the brunt of all the jokes?

Have fun packing, you'll have to let me know where your new house is then I can come and see you:o

See Ya 'Daneth'

Jim

Questions for the Teeside Club, as I'm looking for an indoor venue and it's either Teeside or Worksop.

Are there any spaces still available to race ??
if so, what class (2wd or 4wd) ??
What time do the doors open ??
What time do you normally expect to finish ??
Is there a shop on site ??

Any fast answers would be greatly appreciated. :)

spaces

Hi

As of now there are 7 spaces in 2WD and 1 on reserve in 4WD. Usually get some drop-outs on day or may have more heats if there is demand.

Stewart

Northy 10-02-2007 03:21 PM

Stewart, we can only run a maximum of 12 heats.

G

stewcc 10-02-2007 04:45 PM

Derek said we could run more but I will bow to your knowledge. Keep me right.

Sorry 4WD is, at this time, full.:( :)

Stewart

Northy 10-02-2007 04:52 PM

It was decided at the NE BRCA meeting that we would run 12 heats mainly for the reason of time, but I guess it is ultimatley the race directors decision.

G

bigred5765 10-02-2007 08:37 PM

tc2k 11-02-2007 06:39 PM

Howd everyones racing go, I had crap qualifying but ended up winning my final with my fastest time of the day so not all bad.

and @ least 4 in the B, Adam, Kev, Liam, me with Adam taking the win from Kev then Liam. I finished 9th after a bad couple of 1st laps but I did take home a trophy for top Vet. Last drove the buggy @ the Juniors/Veterans 2006 and 1 meeting in door @ TRCC 2007, so I was happy to be 6th in the B.

Big hand to Greg, Barry, Gary & others that laid out the track on Sat afternoon

Big hand for the ladies in Racers Rest to.
