Yellow shumi spikes all round if dry or bb green spike in wet(old type rears) not the new type. they dont work.

Lee 25-01-2007 01:45 PM

So it will be the BB greens this weekend then, and what is the difference between an old BB green and a new one?

Sorry just been out of the game for a while;)

losichris 28-01-2007 07:24 PM

on that nightmare of a double jump, broke 2 shock towers..i dont think i saw anyone do a full race without being roofed on that jump. still fun 'n games tho ;)

bigred5765 28-01-2007 10:06 PM

not to be cheeky Chris we didn't get it wrong at all today, the problem with it is if you hit it at any descent pace it kills the car, just roll up to it of throttle the BLIP it just on exit to ramp lands on down ram every time ISH?
ps had our best days racing in months loved it today
the new nosram brushless is ace

Not really, you just go miles :D

So long as you hit it with the car settled you can go as fast as you like, it only goes wrong when you are trying to accelerate or change direction on the upslope. Get you speed and line sorted on the straight before then just hold the car there, easy ;)

woOdy 29-01-2007 11:49 AM

Sorry Rich, have you been on the jump? and if so when. I cant remember you coming down since we made it.

bigred5765 29-01-2007 12:18 PM

its more of a vertical launch now, hit it hard and your heading for the stars

MikePimlott 29-01-2007 12:52 PM

Great days racing. The jump is a great addition to the track. i roofed it a few times but luckily no breakages. once you have got the speed and the line it aint so bad.

Hi, do you run at Bury outdoors most Sundays then? What sort of numbers do you get? (never been to the track but it looks great on photos). We're not a million miles away and it would be good to call over sometime.

matdodd 29-01-2007 09:16 PM

Will anyone be down there on sunday?

losichris 29-01-2007 09:20 PM

i used to race there a few years back and just recently started again just before christmas. i think about 20 drivers turned up on sunday which was good to say the weather wasnt great.

It runs over the winter whrn there isnt a regional on (north East) or Batley Club meet or the Batley supper cup. It is one of the best tracks in the country with some of the best drivers in the country attending most club meets. (that last statement doesnt includ me).:)

i used to race at bury every week about 4 years ago, and the standard of drivers now is amazing. and the quality of driving on sunday was brilliant in the tricky conditions. i was 7 seconds off making the A, which isnt too bad seeing as it is onli my second proper meeting for 4 years

Spencer Mulcahy 30-01-2007 10:59 AM

You have got to think as well Chris most of us where using 4wd (apart from Stu and Danny) so 7 seconds of the A was a good run.:)

Lee 30-01-2007 11:21 AM

The track was good on sunday and it was the first time in 12 years that i had been to the track, The double on the back straight is very daunting for a newbie but after a few runs you just knew how to hit it, thanks to woody for the setup tips and the rear wishbone:o Yes the double got me in round 1:D , but it was a great day i just need to learn more about the car now.

Tell the whole storey. Some one with a 4wd completly had me at the end of the straight and on the first lap I was last! Where did I finish and how far behind your 4wd( in the slippy conditions) was I at the end?

are we going to get nice weather this weekend though, i hope so.

woOdy 30-01-2007 12:15 PM

Is there nothing on this weekend(regionals etc)? If not does any one want to come do some work on the track? Like getting rid of some bricks?

RobHatcliffe 30-01-2007 12:53 PM

This Sunday is listed as a round of the winter series on the club website Woody, but if it changes to a work party day that's fine by me.

Lee 30-01-2007 02:17 PM

I heard that there was going to be another double added around the sleeping police men area:eh?: can anyone confirm this?
