1 piece of advice
Ok, help me pass a dull Friday afternoon -
What 1 single piece of advice would you give a newbie? Just 1, the most important in your opinion. |
Have fun!
slow down and you'll go faster!
"allways wear protection":D
OOPS!
Dont lend your second car to a friend who's never driven before and expect it to come back in one piece!;)
What Jimmy said. Crash less and your lap times will be faster. Drive Smooth.
Surely fun must be right up there then? I'm a newbie and just think that for all the money I could spend I dont know if that would equal more fun-what does everybody think???;) :) ;) :) ;) :) ;) :) ;)
Great advice.
I'd heard of slowing down to go longer, but I'll try it for faster too. ;) |

my bit of advice is: Dont eat yellow snow!!!!
learn to drive fast with a 27t motor first before you install an 8 double trying to keep up with the experienced guys. by making the car faster in a straight line you will just crash more and do more damage/cost!!
something someone told me ages ago and its a good phrase.
"to finish 1st, first you must finish!" ;) |
don't run before you can walk
Learn the track and find a line that you are happy with and try to stay to that line all race (That is what I am trying to do) then your lap times will tumble. Race the track not other people if you try to keep up with the fast boys you will crash.;)
have fun, see who is going fast round the track, and ask setup advice of them
Don't snort astroturf off XXX-4s.
remember the 6 P's
Perfect Preparation Prevents Piss Pour Performance |
Drive slow enough to stay in the fast line.
Practice Practice Practice
But do it while knowing/realising your current capabilities, and having a goal. Don't be affraid of taking along your worst critic (Dad), and listen. |
