Hi JC
Will you be at Kiddy on Sunday. |

Is the new top deck just designed like that for ease of wiring? or does it have a performance advantage?
|
Its more for ease of access to the connections on the lipo, but it will flex a little more in a twisting motion than the stock part which would help on med to low grip tracks.
|
VERY NICE:drool:. One thing, what shocks are those tower designed for using with?
|
The kit shocks ;)
|
Hope the testing goes well on Sunday ;););)

How thick are the towers? 3mm, 4mm?
Will there be a tub chassis? |

Ah, just seen on the website they are 4mm. |

looks good JC :D |

Well I heard that testing went very well indeed, with a few different drivers (of varying ability) using the towers and all thinking they were an improvement..... :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hi i tried the towers over the weekend and thought they was a big inprovement over the bumps and jumps which gave me more consistant handling and also it gave more steering so a definate must for the cat owners :thumbsup:
|
How much are they?????
|
if u pm on NORTHY on here he will be selling them soon
|
As Shane says, I should have the AC towers and top decks in stock tomorrow. I will have these - along with my usual lipo retainers - with me at the Batley SuperCup on Sunday too for anyone interested.
You can also get them from Atomic Carbon I think :lol::lol::lol::lol: G |
Thanks
|
These look good, saw them sunday! quality as usual:thumbsup:
|
The 1st batch of Cat parts has sold out, but i already have another larger batch in production, i aim to have all the parts on the web store over the weekend and shipping from the middle of next week.:thumbsup:
And Nor-Tech Racing will also be keeping stock of the Cat SX parts as well ;) |
And mine are selling fast too! :woot::woot:
I need more boss! :lol::lol: G |
The top deck looks potentially interesting. What grade of material is being used?
Has any consideration been put into the effect of a general torsional or even a simple bending load around the curve? Of course the bending derivative will have components in the fourth order, due to the somewhat bizarre boundary conditions imposed which are neither static or free. I see you say you expect a reduction in torsional stiffness, that you feel would help handling. However, won't this be asymmetric due to the stress flow being moved entirely to the right? And surely any kind of asymmetry is detrimental to car handling, even when flex is required? Also I can't quite get my head around stress flow around the curve. The stress levels should be the same, but I can see strain going right up. Also won't there be a bending-divergence type issue? Sorry for all the questions. I think better access to the LiPo is great idea, I am just wondering at what cost. I'm quite tempted to get some of these bits and stick in my cat for the follow up review (delaying it further yet). Thanks! |
I killed the thread with geekyness, sorry :cry:

:lol::lol::lol:
|
Anyway......
I'll now have topdecks and towers in stock and will have some with me on Sunday at Batley, but they are selling fast! :woot: G |
