Vampire lipo

Vampire lipo Any one used these yet?? any good
who makes them dracula :p

traffman 24-02-2009 06:18 PM

Ask the chaps at DMS i think there boys will be running them this year.

Darren Boyle 24-02-2009 06:30 PM

We will indeed be bringing them in and yes several of our top team drivers will be using them too.

Never before seen here in the UK so I doubt anyone has experience with them but early testing has shown they are very good indeed across all the packs we have run.

P.S. No, Dracula has nothing to do with them.........

jono83 24-02-2009 07:10 PM

are they made in transylvania?

Medders 24-02-2009 07:18 PM

They explode if you expose them to sunlight .

On a more serious note, I've looked at a few lipos from the list today and the pricing structure is virtually identical, these included.

Cockerill 24-02-2009 09:58 PM

I'll be running these when I get them delivered.

As Darren said, from testing they look very promising

big air 25-02-2009 04:29 PM

Will there be much difference between the 30c and the 35c fancy the 5200 but dont know if it will fit in a cat the 4000 is 35c :eh?:

Cockerill 25-02-2009 04:35 PM

I would think the 5200 will be slightly more powerful than the 4000, although the 4000 will still be have plenty of power

Eimer 26-02-2009 02:21 PM

I run the 4000 35C Pack at Vienna Offroad Winterchamps in my T4 with CS Electronic 7,5T BL Motor it was very fast on the strait, excelent acceleration for all the jumps build by hupo and out of the 180° turns.
I drive other lipo batteries like yuntong 5000 and trakpower 4900 and i think the power of the vampires is just as well.
The cost/performence ratio here in germany is very good!

So I cant say bad things about vampire and i will drive they in the upcoming season!

traffman 26-02-2009 10:57 PM

When i do start to run lipo , i will be running vampires methinks .

Darren Boyle 03-03-2009 04:14 PM

The first batch of VAMPIRE RACING LIPO's have arrived into stock this afternoon.

The first ones to arrive are three of the stick packs: the 3300mah 20C, 2700mah 25C "BRCA Legal" and 5200mah 30C "BRCA Legal" versions

The remaining 4000mah 35C stick and saddle packs are due in within the next couple of weeks now

Contact your local X-Factory UK dealer now for full availability and prices now.......

Cockerill 08-03-2009 10:24 PM

Belsten 09-03-2009 12:34 PM

footey 09-03-2009 01:15 PM

the vampire lipos that tom used looked really good but they did have this strange effect on him { as he had to pit in a covered part of the building out of the sun light { and that is not a joke he actully did }

Jamie B4 09-03-2009 03:05 PM

cheers

Let us know when you've sorted it cos will do the same for the B44

turbo_brick 10-03-2009 09:44 AM

Quick question for anyone who has these lipo's, are the chassis locators included in the height on the brca list?? Or are they added onto the case size after.

Thanks

Peter

Cockerill 10-03-2009 09:52 AM

With the 5200 it is 23mm excluding the locaters, so around 25mm total.

I assume it's the same for the other batteries too.

xxx 10-03-2009 06:59 PM

The 4000 and 2700mAh batteries have about 23mm including the locators and about 21.5mm without. So they are different to the 5200mAh lipo.

V-Rossi 11-03-2009 07:15 PM

What are the saddle pack sizes?

Darren Boyle 11-03-2009 07:25 PM

All measured dimensions can be seen on the BRCA approval list, the Vampire 4400 saddle is on page 5 (of 6)

Link to list here - http://brca.org/BRCA/elecboard/news/...0V12%20pdf.pdf

Gonky 19-03-2009 11:46 AM

Any news on when the vampire saddle packs will be in stock?

Darren Boyle 20-03-2009 12:06 AM

Currently sat at UK customs and should be released and with us any time within the next 7 days now hopefully

cmgreen 20-03-2009 07:56 AM

The Demon ones are in stock!!!

Darren Boyle 20-03-2009 11:29 AM

So are several other brands now, but I think the question was about the Vampire 4400mah ones specificly......

cmgreen 20-03-2009 11:54 AM

Very true, just giving those another option. Got mine from demon, i accually rang your place and tried to buy six packs, shame i never got a phone call back ..................

Darren Boyle 20-03-2009 12:51 PM

Every one gets a call back, we often leave messages if people are un-obtainable, but we always call everyone back within 24/48 hours.

"If" you were the chap who rang last week enquiring about the 6 packs with "discount" (on the off chance it was yourself), Michele rang back within the hour and left a message on the voicemail connected to the number given (stating that there was no further discount other than that for one pack). I take that stab in the dark since this is the only request we have had for "six packs" so far (most have ordered one or two only) and putting two and two together lets me think it may have been you, might be worth checking your messages if it was ;).....

Darren Boyle 20-03-2009 01:01 PM

Away from the saddle packs, all those who were waiting for more 5200mah 30C stick packs to arrive have no longer to wait, the third consignemt of them has arrived today from Germany and all back orders to dealers and customers direct are being shipped today............

cmgreen 20-03-2009 01:30 PM

Well mate, i did not recieve a call back, and neither did i the week before and the week before that.

I used to use you guys all the time now, you r just as bad as apex models, after that comment i dont think i will try you again, sorry.

ps, i did sort out 6 packs with demon, me and two other mates are very happy with them. 3 customers lost.........

markwilliamson2001 20-03-2009 01:41 PM

Darren clearly mentioned that Michele left a voice message! They obviously tried to call you back, but you were unavailable! Seems to me that your phone might be causing you trouble? I sugguest that you get it sorted...

cmgreen 20-03-2009 01:48 PM

Very weird as seen as i left my work phone with no voice mail facility. Dont just join in mate with out knowing anything, you just wasted precious Oxygen!

Opinions are there to be had, you have yours, that is fine, after all you can please most people some of the time but you can never please everyone all of the time!!!.

All I can assure you is that EVERY customer gets called back, not always straight away since we are often very busy but ALWAYS within 24/48 hours at the latest, NO EXCEPTION. We have not built up a business over the last 17 years by deliberatly ignoring customers and their requests, quite the opposite, we always try to do our very best to satisfy their needs with quick service, good stocks and keen prices as many of our loyal regular customers will vouch for.....

To say we didnt call back once is of course always a "possible" mistake (we are only human after all), twice is "extremely unlikely", three times.......sorry NO chance!!. As Mark has said, might be worth you checking your phone since we have NO outsatnding calls from over 10 days ago which mean that successful messages or conversations have been had/left for all of them. Did you not think to mention we had not rung you back twice alredy when you rang for he third time?? Since that would of been the easy thing to do if there was a problem contacting you.....

There are lots of good shops out there and we "all" try our very best I am sure to satisfy each and every request that we are fortunate to have come our way. Your business went to Demon, good on them, but we dont have saddle packs here just yet, so we didnt exactly loose anything, we dont have the product you have already here available just yet (nor do any of our Vampire dealers)

Anyway, back on topic..............Vampire LIPO's

Belsten 20-03-2009 02:25 PM

speaking from my own personal experience, DMS have always called me back and have left messages for me if I have been unavailable, cant fault their service

RogerM 20-03-2009 02:37 PM

I'm not as regular customer as I used to be (I lived 10 mins walk from DMS for a couple of years) and also raced at their club both then and for a couple of years after. In all that time I don't think I heard a complaint about the service from the shop, the occassional mix up happens as with everything else but that's just life.

We are seeing several racing shops go each year at the moment due to people spending their money abroad (then hoping the local shop they buy one set of tires from a year will help them with warrentee claims). Can we please not knock the shops, especially in a thread like this one about a particular product, as if they go who will run / support our clubs???? It's one thing buying from abroad but quite another to have to travel there to race .... think about that!

Medders 20-03-2009 02:49 PM

when are the 4000 stick packs due to arrive ?

Darren Boyle 20-03-2009 02:59 PM

The 4000's are in the consignement with the 4400 and 6200 saddles, due as early as later today or as late of mid/end of next week (customs depending)....

Medders 20-03-2009 04:13 PM

Good stuff! Do you know if the balance lead you sell is suitable for connection to the Core Rc charger ?

big air 21-03-2009 01:24 PM
