Need Friends / Track in Hull Area Apply Within

Hi all, basically its getting harder and harder in Hull to find places to run the cars myself, borther and my dad own. I've heard 'rumours' of a track in the hull area but each time it seems close the rumours fade as the track idea fades with it.

Just wondering if anyone out there in Hull is in the same position or knows anywhere to go, tracks to go too as my transport is fairly limited...

Cars we have running are

Rc8, Rc8t, Revo, Savage XL, my dad owns an MGT 8.0 and brother a Hyper 7 black edition.

As the spring/summer approaches would be nice to maybe have meet ups or get in contact with anyone thats interested in a track near hull as i'm more than interested in helping the hobby exspand in the area.

ps, hope this is the right forum :)

Hi Richard
were do you race at the minute ? there is a few of us that would love a track here in Hull but finding somewere is the problem, shane (footy) as found a good spot on sutton fields and it just a matter of finding out who owns it and IF we can build a track there.

At the moment i've just been running around a local part and other open areas, racing is probally abit outta my budget right now as i got made redundant start of this year but just getting to a track would be nice to get a feel for it.

Sutton fields is right at the back of my house, are you thinking about the land at the first right off leads road behind that warehouse?

rcracer 17-02-2009 11:03 AM

No from ennerdale go past the post office depot ant the land is on your left.

b44_will 17-02-2009 11:30 AM

i would be interested in geting a track and helping out if you could find a place. also hey richard.

rcracer 17-02-2009 11:37 AM

well the more people that look and ask about for possible venues the better :p..were do you race at the moment then b44_will ?

b44_will 17-02-2009 11:46 AM

nook raceway but i dont go much with it being 70 mile away lol.and when i get my b44 done i will be going to york and hull.why you ask?

rcracer 17-02-2009 11:54 AM

Just trying to get a idea were people in our area race and you seem to be interested in why garry was selling his electric gear ...but seriously if we are going to push to get a track we need to see who is going to be intersted in racing there .

b44_will 17-02-2009 12:06 PM

i dont get what you mean by i was interested in why garry was selling his electric gear?.and yea i would race at the track.and it would be even better if i could race my b44 there as well. Will

rcracer 17-02-2009 12:13 PM

You just asked why he was selling his electric stuff to race nitro when they wasnt a track in hull :wtf: we just travel as there is some great tracks about and to have our own track here we will need to know we can pull racers in from other regions aswell to make it work, me and shane are going to find out who owns this land and see what can be done, shane also reckons foss hill would allow a track there which would suit you but i am not to sure if its a bit off the beaten track for people coming from other clubs to get to it .

b44_will 17-02-2009 12:21 PM

ahh sorry.nook and notts and derby run a interclub championship so we could ask them if we could join in with theres?.and then we could advertise on the online forums that we have a track.and i know 1 of the people that run nook so he could tell other people.just my ideas.

rcracer 17-02-2009 12:25 PM

Cheers G we going to need all the help we can get

b44_will 17-02-2009 12:33 PM

one way to put hull on the map is to make a supercross style track like they have in the usa.some people will probly not like the big jumps but most would and it would realy put us on the map.

would you be talking about just kits neil?.also what kind of surface are you thinking of doing astro, dirt or grass?.or a mix?.

rcracer 17-02-2009 01:01 PM

just kits :wub....hopfully astro if we can get it from the makro track but the one on sutton fields could fit a off road and on road so the guys at HRCCC could run on it during there closed season at the school if they want to.

b44_will 17-02-2009 01:11 PM

that would be good.every body thats interested in doing it should meet up some time.

footey 17-02-2009 09:38 PM

Thanks for the replies, good to see there's other people in Hull in the same situation. Well not good, but hopefully we'll get a solution sooner or later. East Park 'was' interested i believe, they wanted a formation of a club but nothing seems to of happened but been a while since i've seen those guys at the park.

East park :o was it electric as its a bit close to houses for nitros, saying that they used to run nitro boats on the small lake.

ApexBoner 20-02-2009 10:48 AM

Yeah they still do, i think there's been a few probs down there recently with the amount of nitro/petrol cars turning up due to the keepers kicking people off Bev westwood. They wanted to fund a track somewhere near where the animal area was.
