markwilliamson2001 15-02-2009 01:19 PM

Hereford Radio Car Club - Leominster Sports Centre

From last Friday night....it's my local club.

Mike Hudson 15-02-2009 01:34 PM

thats ace I feel like i'm playing a video game when i watch it, what did you use to film it the quality and frame rate is pretty good... link? I've always wanted to try something like this myself

Huw333 15-02-2009 01:49 PM

Excellent! Where did you get the camera?

telboy 15-02-2009 01:49 PM

Hmm, I'm curious as to what was used.
Not bad quality.

jonmiller 15-02-2009 01:55 PM

bigred5765 15-02-2009 09:21 PM

Hey Mark, do you race buggies every week?? Or only every so oftern?

Spencer Mulcahy 15-02-2009 09:39 PM

That is fantastic it shows how much stress these cars are under and how strong they realy are.

strobe 15-02-2009 09:43 PM

Phil.
They race 1/10 buggies and Micro's on alternate fridays.
Excellent club and facility at Leominster's Bridge street Leasure centre. Track is on an indoor tennis pitch on carpet with some good track features.
Think they are holding a Micro national soon. Hopefully they will have some buggy heats

Neil867 15-02-2009 09:44 PM

No,they race every other friday, next one is on the 27th feb

Thanks both, just found the club site and had a read.

I'm definately going to come along to the next buggy meeting (27th). :)

strobe 15-02-2009 09:57 PM

That's when they start to put track out at 6.30. Usually racing starts about 7.30

_sleigh_ 15-02-2009 10:03 PM

Cheers Mark

Benh 15-02-2009 10:59 PM

How close is it too the marshalls leg at 1min and 1 second!:o

wezzer 15-02-2009 11:51 PM

uh oh :bored: @ phil
dont show us up too much :p be good to get some feed back from you though phil , on how we can improve the club :D
oh and the quality is even better than the footage you see, poxy you tube bringing it down

DCM 16-02-2009 12:20 AM

I want to know, 'how much' and what you need, thats super cool!!

Danosborne6661 16-02-2009 01:58 AM

Would also like to know how much, where, what etc!

I've seen vids done like that before but they always suck, that 1 was awesome! Top job:drool:

Chequered Flag Racing 16-02-2009 09:02 AM

I've seen these used before on a 12th scale

http://www.jex-electronics.com/wirel...arge/je802.jpg

silver receiver was hooked up to a video recorder & tv in the pits

wezzer 16-02-2009 09:09 AM

its actuallty a mounted camera that records it to a memory card
bit heavier than i would of liked but still cool , ollie has more details so will get him to post a link up

telboy 16-02-2009 07:25 PM

Please, I'd love to have a play with one.

Alfonzo 16-02-2009 08:31 PM

That's incredible! Much better than I expected. How cool does it sound too? It does give a good idea of the stresses and strains the poor cars suffer

dave g 16-02-2009 08:34 PM

is it one of the flycams?

Stu 16-02-2009 08:55 PM

I think that's similar to the one we used for ther Fister video last year at Oswestry, I seem to remember that was a fly-cam.

jimmy 16-02-2009 09:07 PM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeCot...onal-oswestry/

I think the smooth track helps - the oswestry track in comparison shakes the camera around a lot and makes it more confusing. Not sure the frame rate is as high but again might be the shaking :wtf:

Wezzer.
Hereford Club have the perfect Track/Facilities to run a great Winter indoor series for the Mid West region. Could be an ideal venue to host the Indoor 1/10 Buggy finals in 2010.:p
Hereford Club have had national series of scales other than 1/10 scale and put on a great show.
Will see you on 27th and talk more about it to you then.
