Batley Supercup 2009

The 2009 Batley Supercup has been announced and booking-in is now available online like in previous years. The event attracts some of the UK's top drivers and we'll be there to cover the event.

super__dan 06-02-2009 10:14 AM

jimmy 06-02-2009 11:26 AM

AND IF ENOUGH INTEREST - A TRUCK CLASS WILL BE RUN

Sorry, I did not include that, I was in a bit of a rush. If you're interested in running trucks please post on here and we'll get some numbers.

Mike Hudson 06-02-2009 11:26 AM

I'd be up for truck  Already 4 on the this thread that have trucks and hopefully want to race them :)

im in for 4wd:D

jimmy 06-02-2009 12:17 PM

Lots of entries so far considering it only went online at midnight last night - so keep em' coming guys.

For those wanting to do TRUCK I might make a seperate form (too late to edit that one / can't be bothered lol) for it - or give you an email address to send your details to.

DaveG28 06-02-2009 12:44 PM

Already booked in for Bury, but really want to do this!

Medders 06-02-2009 02:13 PM

How about a vintage class ??

DaveG28 06-02-2009 07:41 PM

Any chance of posting an entry list?

DaveG28 06-02-2009 09:28 PM

Hopefully in for 4wd, you guys been getting any email confirmations or anything?

telboy 07-02-2009 11:19 AM

NOt yet.

Missed this last year, due to racing TC's (how dare I!!) so I'm really looking forward to it.:D

Any chance of an entry list so far anyone?

RogerM 07-02-2009 02:19 PM

Might well be worth the trip north for this one .....

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 11:13 AM

sorry but im new to 2wd side of things, still learning about the tracks,

is this indoors or outdoors cheers.

jimmy 10-02-2009 11:15 AM

This is an indoor race, here's a link to the 2007 report we did: http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/supercup2007/

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 11:18 AM

cheers Jimmy.

looks awesome, is there any places left??

jimmy 10-02-2009 11:24 AM

There should be yes!

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 11:36 AM

will have to see what my mates thinking the guy whos gonna be doing the driving!!!

its a longgg way, i live in birmigham:D

DaveG28 10-02-2009 09:01 PM

Should we be getting a comfirmation email??

Mike Hudson 10-02-2009 09:17 PM

if i remember last we either didn't get one or it was much more near to the time of the meeting as there will be many yet to book in and heat listing made etc

jimmy 10-02-2009 09:28 PM

If the form said anything other than 'your form has been submitted' - then you're not in!!!! Seriously though - I can send you an email at the time but it's exactly the same as seeing the on-screen confirmation I'm afraid.

The only person who can tell you 100% that you are confirmed is the person doing the booking in and sorting the heat lists. But like I said, as long as it didn't say something like '404 error, your entry was screwed up' then your details ARE with the Batley officials.

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 09:53 PM

could somebody link me to some rules on the event etc??

or tell me what they are

cheers

Mike Hudson 10-02-2009 10:03 PM

was sure I saw rules on here somewhere but can't find them, it's just the usual rules you'd find at a regional meeting tbh, lipos are allowed aslong as there hardcased and taken care of etc. and the rest of usual stuff, in previous years they've used round by round qualifying so i guess thats going to stay the same?

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 10:17 PM

control tire??

Mike Hudson 10-02-2009 10:30 PM

schumacher yellow compound minipins/minispikes are the popular tyre choice there, don't think there has ever been a control tyre for this event as these are the only two tyres that work the best on their hall surface and carpet i think

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 11:00 PM

cheers, im a newb to 2wd.

used to racing outdoors with big stuff and a engine!!!

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 11:17 PM

can i run lipos?

Mike Hudson 10-02-2009 11:51 PM

it was said lipos are allowed

Matt Alcock 10-02-2009 11:57 PM

cool, should see you there.

make your selves known so i can put some names to faces, don't know anyone off the 2wd drive scene really.

Im 16, will have a edit fleece on proably come say hi ;)
or look out for me in the bottom final :D

cheers guys

Mike Hudson 11-02-2009 12:00 AM

well my name is obvious and my distictive pink and white 2wd and 4wd cars are easy to spot! I'm 17 and got really blonde hair and quite small so i'm easy to spot aswell unless im hiding :D

Matt Alcock 11-02-2009 10:21 AM

cool, see you there.
One of my shells is bright yellow on it lol!!! should be easy to spot. Just what the one i'v brought comes with, usually have, bright pink, white or orange on my normal shells. Never settle on one colour!!! lol
