Results Please

Hi all we have a sweep going and need to know how many laps Morley Models were behind the winners

Mike Hudson 01-02-2009 03:42 PM

They broke in the last 20mins and threw the towel in  Was a very close race for 6th place before that! Probably over 300 laps behind 1st place and about 30-40 from 6th in the end i think.

phil c 01-02-2009 03:49 PM

so who won then

Mike Hudson 01-02-2009 03:54 PM

Mirage/HPI with a 'Cyber10B' :o

bally 01-02-2009 03:58 PM

thanks put we need proper results LOL well done to all the teams

Richard Lowe 01-02-2009 04:07 PM

When I last looked about 10 minutes from the end they were about 600 behind the little pink plastic car ;)

josh_smaxx 01-02-2009 04:13 PM

Was the little pink plastic car still the only one to do a sub 20s lap as well? I left at about 7 in the morning, i was dead :bored:

bally 01-02-2009 04:16 PM

sounds good to me rich my guess is 599 LOL

boultspeed 01-02-2009 04:23 PM

more like 650 ;)

Yep 19.7x :p

I think Neil had the second fastest at 20.2x with the B4 :o

Stu 01-02-2009 06:13 PM

The last stint that Neil did was mesmerizing.

In the space of 20mins he lapped me al least twice, probably more, and I had 4wd.

josh_smaxx 01-02-2009 06:19 PM

Its the first time i have wittnessed Neil drive and it looks amazing to see how much faster he is than other drivers and how quickly he catches them and goes past them without thinking twice..... Then i realise that he's doing this to 4wd cars using a B4. not fair.

I remember seeing the A team had a 20.20 when i left, which was the second fastest, then it was 20.32 from nov-trak-macher-tech i think :p

Garry Driffill 01-02-2009 06:23 PM

How did Northy and the gang do?

Did the Bomb proof CAT hold out? :D

ben 01-02-2009 06:29 PM

I managed to stay in front of Neil on one of my stints...

... for a corner or two.. he then proceeded to nail me at the end of the straight  :bored::thumbdown::wub
If ya wanted some luvin, ya could of asked me off the track :woot:

I doubt they were that committed.

Just watching their car go round frustrated me, it was so slow and they just kept turning in the laps, which worked for a long time for them, but i dont know if they had to push and things got hot or what but it all went down hill for them in the last few hours. Where as our bad luck was consistant throughout the 24 hours

I had a good time though and Xfactory should be proud and the only parts that faltered were AE parts.

Garry Driffill 01-02-2009 07:59 PM

What we all want to know is..

DID ANYTHING GO BANG :D haha

we had a good last 6 hours, we pulled time back on everyone but HPI.

I had a full punch last stint and loved every minute of it :woot:

Lee 01-02-2009 08:10 PM

Nothing BLUE went bang.

Big thanks to LRP.

But there was some orange products letting out some magic smoke and at least 3 motors that i know of

Chris Doughty 01-02-2009 08:13 PM

1 LRP speedo, 1 LRP motor and a few LRP LiPo's and you can run 24hrs 'full punch' (as in Tom Cockerill full punch!)

Ino-Lab servo went the distance without any fault too - it was working hard too catching all those 2WD slides and flicks :woot:

Adam Skelding 01-02-2009 08:18 PM

No bangs or pops from the red stuff.

After 24 Hours
Speedo: 43.7 C
Motor: 60C

Underarm temp: Much hugher than both!

Chris Doughty 01-02-2009 08:31 PM

my under-arms were about to thermal when I forgot to take my hoody off before my stint... only made that mistake once! :p

niggs98 01-02-2009 08:42 PM

am lot of magic smoke escaped from one corner towards the end and even toms frantic polishing couldnt cool it down :woot: our team thought we had major probs when the tekin shorted out on the prop and lots of magic smoke escaped from the little black box mid way through the random check of the car but much to our suprise it didnt falter at all and ran for the rest of the 24 hour without a hitch. was a great display of tekin strenth in both motor and speedo as neither faltered even when heavily abused and also for track power who helped our cause with 4 packs of 4900 stick lipos. these again were abused for the full 24 hours without even a cough and combined with the tekin speedo, motor and the pred x11-08 ran for at least 22 mins even under the heaviest of drivers and had a best run of 35 mins in slightly smoother hands.

id like to take this oportunity to thank Lewis at Xtreme for the x11-08 and the tekin motor and speedo, Mac at trackpower and Mark at mb modeltech for arranging the lipos and custom blitz for there help as without them we wouldnt of been able to take part ;)

Lee 01-02-2009 09:38 PM

I think it goes to show how good the electronics are that we can buy off the shelf nowadays.

May i also add that We at Xfactory/LRP (in joke) were not using a top end speed control either, we used the LRP SPX Bullet Reverse speedo. It ran faultless :D

bigred5765 01-02-2009 09:54 PM

it was strange the hottest thing inside the car after 24 hours of racing was the corrally connectors,??how mads that, just goes to show you don't always need top stuff,a big thanks to Darren at dms, X factory, inolabs, and lrp,ran faultless the whole 24 hrs,

chalky 01-02-2009 11:16 PM

in my first stint it was definatly me lmao as i wragged the hell out of it in a wraggy style (just keeping it in one piece as well :woot:). second stint i averaged 25-28 mins for the for all 3 packs and still managed to match the earlier lap times. untill they announced the computer probs i thought we had a chance of catching xfac/lrp as we had a good line up of drivers in the next few stints and the computer broadcast showed me 42 laps to catch them which was just about doable in the time that we had. then i looked at race control and it was 112 after my stint so i new we couldnt catch them but we were 300+ laps up on 6th so told the team to just keep rolling round and hope someone had a major prob ahead of us. none had one that brought them close enough for us to nibble at so we were 5th

bally 02-02-2009 09:56 AM

Thanks looks like Boultspeed has won our bet are they the official results?

jimmy 02-02-2009 10:09 AM

the ones on my report are the official results yes

bally 02-02-2009 11:25 AM

thanks jimmy

boultspeed 02-02-2009 05:09 PM

good guess only 3 laps out :D

all a bit of fun though it was not meant to offend anyone

in the spirit of things the winnings will be donated to a local animal rehoming centre
